That's awesome. I've seen something like that before, only less fancy-looking.

Great "authentic" arcade peripheral, looks cool. Kinda like how X-Arcade is cool, especially if you like fighting games.

EDIT: Seems that X-Arcade now has a new type of controller. Instead of just plain 2 sets of controls, it adds a trackball into the center. Neat stuff!

Except it's a bit tricky to hold a Wiimote like a gun.

There are attachments for the Wii controller to turn it into a gun, ping pong paddle, dialysis machine, etc. You seem to be on the wrong page here.

Any wii gun attachment makes it kind-of awkward to hit any of the wiimote's buttons besides B, and even more awkward to use its motion sensing, so I personally think that wiimote gun attachments are what defeats the purpose of the wiimote. And the ping pong paddle is pointless to me, as you'd hold the wiimote the same with or without it!

I actually never compared the two, but yes, I'd take a wiimote/nunchuck over a light gun.

It's not a lightgun. It's just an optical mouse shaped like a gun (I think).
