Gametrailers, Gamespot, IGN all have positive user reviews that easily outnumber the bad.. The arguement that Bethesda did not meet expectations on this game is getting pretty stale, pretty fast.

the game is great, i really liked the original fallout games and i think this is a fairly good entry in the franchise, is the writing as good, no, is the gameplay as in depth as the originals, no, is it a good post-apocalyptic game with an intriguing open ended storyline based on moral choices, yes.

it is fallout, maybe not a true sequel, but it is fallout and it is a good game deserving of the praise it has been getting.

Proper opinions, from people who actually know shit about Fallout 1&2; not just people jumping on the Bethesda bandwagon because of Oblivion. It might be a perfectly fine game in it's own merit, not going to argue that, but to say that Bethesda could ever pull off something like Fallout 1&2 in terms of atmosphere, wit, humour and writing is.. laughable. Look at Oblivion. Look at Morrowind.
