Sega Saturn: Worth Purchase?

Okay so, I'm looking for a cheap old console to play with thats not a Nintendo and was thinking of going for a Sega Saturn if I can find one thats a suitably low price.
 
Would it be advisable to buy one since I hear alot of people saying to stay clear of Sega's bar the Dreamcast, and also are their any games anyone could/would recommend?

I love the Sega Genesis... I've never had much of a chance to play the saturn.

The genesis was fantastic for its time, I don't see what's wrong with it!

Saturn's my favourite console. If you can find them, pick up Magic Carpet, Virtua Fighter 2, Clockwork Knight, Mr. Bones, NiGHTS Into Dreams, Burning Rangers, Die Hard, Machine Head, Virtua Cop, House of The Dead, Panzer Dragoon, Sega Rally, Daytona USA. Amazing games, all of them.

A Sega Saturn caters more to the interests of collectors than those just looking for an old console to play. They're quite rare outside of eBay, relatively expensive and difficult to find games for. It's definitely worth it, though.

i dunno man, sega saturn seems pretty shit, what games are you gonna play, KNiGHTS, is there more after that? maybe a sonic? just emulate that shit and by something worthwhile like the virtual boy!

I had the Genesis as my first console when I was a little kid. It was my favorite and stayed in our household until we got our PS2 and the 64 became our backup system.
Ah the days of my youth, like the smell of fresh lemons.

If you get the genesis, I recommend Lion King, Aladdin, X-Men, Sonic 2, World Series Baseball, and NBA Jam. Most importantly Aladdin and NBA Jam.

£20 - £30 I've found (excluding postage). See I have £50 and would like to try and by 2 consoles if I can or if not 1 and be left with money for some N64 games.

Okay so this morning i bought a Sega Saturn for £21 with Virtua Fighter 2, Sega Rally, Tomb Raider, Loaded, NBA Jam T.E & Sega Ages Vol.1 and I'm looking for Magic Carpet, CLockwork Kinight etc
