Not as many frontpage posts

I come back every day after school and there are like 6 youtube vids there and I wanna watch them all but that means I waste time I should be using for homework and I don't think people will be able to appreciate frontpage news if there is so much of it that half just gets ignored and eventually people will just stop looking.

It's the equivalent of 10 people all going "watch this!" "no check this out!!" "watch this video i found!". It's going to flood out actual site news, if we ever have any of that. The frontpage will go:

Day one
Leek: Contest guys!!

Day two
Clock1: video!!
Clock2: video!!
Clock3: video!!
Clock4: video!!
Leek: Contest guys!!


Hence shit might get missed entirely. Maybe put a section at the top for actual important clock news?

The front page shouldn't be about youtube videos we already have a forum for that, It should be used to round up important news, contests and collabs that are going on.

I still think site-related news posts should be at the top. By your logic there, we shouldn't have stickied threads either because there are something like 30 threads shown at a time in each forum. Phlash Phandago voting is more important to the CC than nvidia making 3D capable drivers.

Perhaps make the stickied site news collapsible like everything else so that people who like the way it is now can keep it that way? It's just my personal opinion that Clock Crew news should be at the top of the Clock Crew homepage...

I see no problem, I just check out the header if there's any important stuff going on, and for interesting artistic movies I check the front page.

There has been 7 front page "news" in 2 days. Almoust all doesn't have any relation to the website or Flash. Take the "Nvidia 3D-glasses" thread, I don't see how this is so important, and why it can't just be posted in the video games forum. These youtube videos are interesting and inspriring, but surely we can separate these and real site news?

They are all videos to do with creativity, and when they are not directly related they are intended to inspire you and give you ideas for your own projects.

This new content was of course not intended to offend or alienate anyone, and it is a work in progress. We're going to take your comments into account and post a more varied mixture of things, including more which is directly relevant to the clock crew.

I'm not saying I don't want to watch them. Personally, I feel the need to watch them and try to every day, just there may be too many of them, that's all. I like the idea of collapsible things though.

I like the new updates. I would say there are too many videos though (that's more of a youWhore forum thing).

Hopefully the volume will wane, after a little while, when some of our front page posters show us what they know about.
