Well...I don't really like it too much. The colours don't do it for me, and that strawberry seems too...i dunno. Someone else could say it better.

Not really. It's a bunch of shapes with drop shadows and gradient thingies. And a jpeg strawberry.

Really, it isn't that simple. For instance, the strawberry was obviously originally red and had to be cut out of a background. Then I had to go through colorizing it to get what I wanted. The shapes aren't gradients, they were manually colored. And you talk about drop shadows and gradients like they are a bad thing :/ Plus, the most simple argument is that's what it's supposed to be!

Other than that, I think you just seem to have a style issue rather than the image itself actually having a problem. You haven't explained anything wrong with it anyway other than saying you don't like colors and that you think that it was easy to make and that somehow takes away from it as a piece of art. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am just going by what you are saying.

Feel free to give criticism if you want, but try to actually say something if you are going to!

Yea, i'm using it. I think it looks very nice. The only things i think that could make it a bit better is make the contrast of the strawberry a bit higher and maybe some sort of outline around it. Looks good though :thumbs:

I think it's nice. I'd set it as my desktop, but I already have a little thing I'm fond of that Loki made. The only real suggestion I can make it have it so the strawberry looks more plump and fresh, while keeping the white color to it.

Yeah, the original image of the strawberry had much higher contrast. Even after colorizing it the way I wanted it maintained that contrast. The thing was, having the contrast higher makes the strawberry seem like it is just pasted overtop of the background and didn't blend as well.

IMO, the brighter of the two strawberries works better in the image.

On second thought, don't worry about it. I think its good as it is and even if you spent time on adjust the strawberry to perfection it would not make a huge difference. I think if you used a bit of contrast it would look a bit better but only on the strawberry but if your happy with it, then thats cool.

yet if you could put more contrast between the darker and ligher spots already in the strawberry, that would be great!

and are you sure you got the height correct? I keep getting two black strips on the top and bottom, and if I stretch, it looks horrible

editttt I meant 1024 * 768
