I was just wondering, i've been hearing a lot about internet addiction, what are the clock crews views on it. Would any of you say your addicted to the internet?

Addiction is really a chemical thing. Attributing personal entertainment preferences to addiction is sort of dragging the word out to meaninglessness.

I think the internet is enjoyable but not addictive. I don't get cravings or anything like that myself.

It's bullshit. If someone goes for a 2 mile jog every day, are they addicted to jogging? Do they need treatment for this addiction?

Wow... The conservative and the liberal side of the clock crew coming together saying "fuck off I don't have an addiction." But yeah it is pretty gay. The whole thing is poorly written. Fuck the BBC, and fuck their quack doctors with skewed results too.

The symptoms sound like those of a typical DeviantArt or MMORPG user. How would I know? I was one once.

Mind you, I do use the Internet all the time, but I don't currently have any problems I'm trying to escape or emotional issues or whatever. I basically like to see if there's new posts in places like the CC or Youtube, but I usually get carried away. What I should be doing is game programming, which is a lot more productive, and not finding ways to waste my time.

EDIT: Also, BBC is like the British equivalent of FOX News in its views on the Internet.

Not sure, but I do tend to get addicted and un-addicted to things rather quickly. Depends on the thing. TF2, for example, is one of those always-awesome things, while one of those things that gets old after a bit would be like Sonic Riders. Things that stay for a while but then get old when I realize how shit it is is like Sonic games in general. Except for the old ones, maybe. I still prefer Mario.

Sonic Rush wasn't half-bad though, I played it recently.
