I hate when countries or even states/provinces have flags with complex designs and lots of tiny detail. If a flag can't be drawn by a 1st grader with a box of crayons and a ruler, its too complex and looks like shit.

Examples of countries with good flags:
Italy
Poland (without the bird coat of arms)
Norway
Britain
South Africa

Examples of countries with shit flags:
Mexico
Poland (with the bird coat of arms)
Guatemala
Iran


Notice also it's only the shit countries that have bad flag design.

french flag vs. dutch flag which one is horizontal? nobody knows!

fuck yeah now that's a flag.

more complicated than a few alternating colors, but only three (evocative) colors and nothing but simple shapes- instantly recognizable, even in extremely simplified form (like the texas flag lol) betsy ross owns.

the union jack is also pretty bitchin but don't tell anyone I said that.
