All the cool kids have had their own signiture fad. I just looked at ll.com (lol) and a couple of them still have "Break My Stride" signitures.

This happened to me. Tried reinstalling flash player and nothing. So I tried the Flash Player 10 Alpha, that fixed it I think.

It happens to me too with Firefox. The problem probably must be related to the the those issues of Youtube videos playing with no sound for 2 seconds and then stopping, and of Flashes sometimes playing with no sound.
