You know, when the game really drags you inside making you feel as if it was personal. I love when that happens.

Metroid Prime Hunters really does that with all the live action in your small DS.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask really gets you when its about mini and temple bosses.

I honestly can't think of others by now except for FPS's. What do you have to add?

Heliopios

The only FPS I've which is any good at pulling you in played is StALKER, and even some parts of that game killed the immersion, such as every three people having a guitar and playing the same song.
:]

Heliopios

Also, if it really counts, Arx Fatalis. Immersion to the Jesus power, hell, even the magic felt real enough.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.  When I was a vampire for a while I was like "man I gotta get rid of this vampirism thing".

AC Slater

I would have to say Morrowind and Oblivion both pulled me in pretty quickly. I also remember becoming personally attached to the story in FF7 when I played it.

Yeah I'm a fucking nerd.

Shadow of the Colossus really dragged you in, it even made you feel tired in your index finger for having to hold it to hold onto surfaces, and the environments/creatures were beautiful.

The first one yeah. It was so simple and perfect. The perfect dungeon crawler.

Also I am very emotionally attached to Silent Hill 2.

Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest VIII, Final Fantasy VIII, X, XII, Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, Jade Empire, GTA III, EarthBound, Ocarina of Time, Suikoden II, Tales of Destiny, Metal Gear Solid 1,3,4. And... I think that's it.

Metal Gear Solid 4.
I eventually got tired of wanting to know what happened at the end of the game that I just sat down and beat the damn thing.

In Grand Theft Auto IV, I had a difficult time killing pedestrians because the game made me feel like they had lives. GTA IV made me care not to kill them because they seemed so real.
