I'm in the market for the next big rhythm phenomenon, but I don't know which could prove the ticket. Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour for the Wii are going to prove to be on par with their Sony and Microsoft compatriots, but I only want one set of plastic instruments cluttering up my closet.

But which? Guitar Hero evidently has some wicked new tricks, like better instruments, song maker, and really customizable character maker, but Rock Band 2, though it's mostly just Rock Band 1 with different songs, is supposed to have a better track list and just a generally more stellar experience.

Land sakes, what a pickle.

TequilaClock

I think I'd go for Rock Band 2, it has a very attractive track list so far.

The thing about GHWT, if it's not on the track list, someone is going to make it. ;)

Marlin Clock

I think Guitar Hero is the only one with Hotel California. I'd buy it for that.

peyoteclock

rockband 2 has 100 plus songs, and has already dropped multi instrumetn gameplay, they have learned from mistakes, a superiour prduct no doubt.

Mashed Potato Johnson

Guitar Hero.

Apparently HMX/EA are too good for Australia. I mean for fuck sakes we're getting RB1 2 weeks off from a year late with old shitty instruments. I say fuck off Rock Band.

No. When uploading created tracks to GHTunes you have to sign an agreement of sorts stating that your work is yours and nobody elses. Not to mention the 3 minute limit/1,200 note limit.

1200? That's 300 measures 4/4.
That'd be almost 2 measures/second w/ a 3min limit.

Asshatclock

Guitar hero world tour and buy rock band 2 later seeing as I don't have to get all the instruments again.

I should've said more clearly 3 minute or 1,200 note limit.

I'd pick Rock Band 2 over Guitar Hero because the song list is better.

satan will destroy you

Guitar Praise.

lol not rly

Actually, GHWT, if they make a rumored PC version. I heard Aspyr isn't doing the PC port this time, and since all they do is directly port Xbox 360 games to PC nowadays, I expected GHIII's to pretty much require one.

PirateClock

id probabbly wait for fable2, CoD word at war, FarCry 2 or Gears of War 2.  But if you want to buy something know you could check out The Force Unleashed.

unless you want to waste your money on a glorified dance dance moves ofcourse.

Rock Band 2 because of a better setlist and more songs (becuase of my old ones from RB1 and I'm guaranteed that in RB2 they'll realease more songs on DLC), though GH4's song makers really intrigues me.
hej.

okkkkkkkk,k

Quote from: Franklin G. Hamilton;1409614rb2 promises over 500 songs by christmas, on top of all the rb1 dlc are playable on rb2, and you can export your rb1 songs (for $5) to your harddrive and play them on rb2

for snake who doesn't own rock band 1, this means you can rent rb1 and for $5 get all of the songs on it.

so when you take the game back, you still have all the songs.
HELLO EVERYONE.

Rock Band 2 is the same game as the first one, nothing new. I am actually getting sick and tired of these guitar hero spin offs and the stupid popularity of being charged all this money so you have to mess up a perfectly good song.
