No one's been really talking about this, and it deserves much more attention.

Obviously a sequel to Far Cry, but this time you're in a deep, war ridden, African country (Kenya if I'm not wrong). You don't have those feral/predator powers like in the first one. This time, everything's a lot more grittier and real. Your goal is to hunt down a weapons dealer named The Jackal, who supplies weapons that fuel the violence in the country. You can make countless friends that have their own benefits and will help you out.

Some things to note are:

-Guns can jam if you don't keep dirt and dust off them, even in the middle of a firefight.

-The A.I has been drastically improved. It'll take a few shots for them to realize where you are. If you take down one of them, for example, with a sniper, some men will run to the wounded man and carry him to aid, and others will be on alert and start searching for you. If you start a fire in front of you, the enemies know not to approach you and will shoot at you from afar. If you take on a mission at night, enemies will tend to stay closer to camp and scout less outside the camp.

-Fires can be started with molotovs and/or rocket launchers and more. This fire can spread (propogate) dynamically according to where the wind is blowing, so make sure it's not gonna spread towards you!

-You can make friends and allies called buddies. These guys have a life of their own, and will give you missions and help you out. If you're lucky, when you get very wounded, one of your buddies will bust in, pick you up, take out a few enemies and heal you and give you a weapon. Keep in mind that these buddies have a mind of their own, and if they get killed, they're dead forever!

-Online multiplayer (not sure about local) is in here, of course. Standard modes are here (Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch) and some other custom ones that resemble CTF and capturing areas.

-The map creator/editor is one of the best I've ever seen in a game. You can make anything you want, using simple, yet effective tools. People made the Eiffel Tower and the Pyramids of Giza, and of course all these maps can be played in multiplayer.

-And as usual, gorgeous graphics, lighting, physics. Environments are destructible, tress get chopped up dynamically.

It's coming out October 22nd in NA, and October 24th in Europe on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. You can pre-purchase it now on Steam and save 5 bucks, but only if you're in America, Canada or Mexico, which sux 4 me :(

I really doubt this game needs a monster machine PC to run it so don't worry about that.

The UI for the map-editor on the PC version is different from the console version, and resembles more of a PC UI, but all the features and tools are still the same, and very accesible.

It looks cool, I just hope it has a decent story, and that it has a decent ending.
