Darn, I can't understand how some people's xboxes red ring so often. Maybe you should keep it in a well ventilated area, or get one of those fans you can place on the xbox. I also heard it is more prone to red ringing if it's standing upright.

My roommate's red ringed on Saturday. It took us all of 5 minutes before we decided to head up to Wal Mart and get a new one. At 10 at night.

If you have a starbit screwdriver, Id seriously recommend giving it a try. I actually had fun doing it to be honest. Always wanted to take a xbox 360 apart.
