...and they just perpetuated the old myth that milk is good for your bones. So far, I've read in TWO concurrent sources that milk actually causes calcium to leach from your bones. Why they'd say something this blatantly outdated on an educational children's show only has one explanation: funding from the industry.
Do you think it's okay for children's programs to feed children harmful information as long as they have supposedly concurrent (albeit false) information to back themselves up? Most parents don't know this information is false (including my own), so this kind of thing tends to fly under the radar for a long time.

Milk or any dairy product for that matter contains vitamins D and K. D and K are both necessary in maintaining healthy bones and teeth. So yes, milk, calcium or not, helps maintain the health of ones bone structure.

Although I do not see how a product which contains calcium could in the same hand "leech" more of the same from the person consuming it.

I'll wait on those sources.
