Right now i have a dog, He is A Jack Russel / Rat Terrier mix, His name is Muddy Mudskipper and hes about 11 months old and likes to think hes a cat.

My wife has a dachshund named Zero, He's a fat little sausage looking dog that doesn't live with us cause his dad gets lonely when hes not around

2 turtles (red eared sliders), a tortoise of some manner, 3 frogs, and two boston terriers.
our rabbits died a couple years ago.

I won't tell you their names, because I didn't get to name them, so their names suck.

does he have the tendency to do that pointing thing, where it raises a paw and points its nose in the direction of something it wants you to see? My dog does that, its awesomely cute!

Oh yes. The unique things I've seen him do is raise paw, learn from other dogs simply by watching and listening (one time he was sitting down on a park bench with me and I was calling my friend and some dog and her owner in front of me said to her dog "bow!" and the dog did a boy (similar to like.. a horse's) and when they passed so I wouldn't get embarrassed, i said to my dog "Bow" and surely enough he bowed) and he wiggles his nose and squints his eyes whenever he is alarmed or notices something.
