When I was younger I craved what I could not know
It was always Fall, They called my name
Why I couldn't respond
And how I couldn't fathom

When I was older I craved what truths I should have known
The seasons called by name
So I cried back, so still they beckoned
And ran away, they drew me closer

Forever I followed, forever they showed me
Like tree meets seed
As sand meets rock
The ocean finally reaches the cloud

Red met Green, and Purple met Yellow
Future met past
Sun met moon
Boy met girl

For Color breathes, as it is not
And Time stops, for it is not
An eclipse shades for it is not
So it was revealed to me

It was her all along, and She was everything and in everything
Her hair drew the stars and her lips painted the sky
For all the universe was perched upon just the tip of her finger

And She drew me closer as I lept for her
Arm outstretched
Mind erased

And our fingers touched

At the single point
The point where never ending pain meets never ending joy
The point where life meets death

That point from which She could only just whisper
"For I am not"

As always do I sleep
