I bought a PS3 last week, and it was this morning when I was playing a side-scrolling remake of Silent Hill as a grounhog sock puppet pimp when I turned to look at my friend who was playing as a green TV-headed mexican and said "Yeah, this is probably the best thing ever"

I honestly can't consider ever getting tired of this. I know I'm ridiculously late to the party, but a game that is so beautiful, with such an amazing soundtrack with the greatest user-created content is always in my good books. I don't think I've ever played a game as innovative or just flat-out loving as this, every time I play it leaves me in a good mood, and I'm pretty sure it's my new favorite game. A lot of people bought a PS3 just for MGs4, and I can honestly say this blows it out of the water.

so yeah tl;dr go buy a PS3 and LittleBigPlanet

Makes me wonder why it hasn't broke 200,000 sales. :p

Everyone's too busy playing Pain?

guero

lbp isnt bad dont get me wrong, its just boring after 20 minutes and its hard to get used to the 3 depth thing instead of being able to freely move between them

This right there. :(

The reason it's sold poorly is most of the arrogant piss-drinking cunts who buy PS3s are jacktard wannabe-jocks who only want brown generic sci fi shooters that contian about as much creativity as a spreadsheet found in an abandoned box factory

salt

it's great

for a few hours when you play through the first few pre-made levels and marvel at how it's well presented, charming, clever and occasionally funny

then you try to make some stuff and realize you actually need to devote a lot of time and go through levels to get most tools etc.

and the pre-made campaign levels get tiring cause essentially it's basic platforming with a few nifty tricks

and the user created levels are basically either broken, or just levels where you hold onto a really fast car and it shoots you miles into the air really fast

srry bro, that's sort of what i got out of it
hej.

okkkkkkkk,k

pain isnt a shooter

Poltergeist

Well, I've seen some absolutely incredible levels so far. Check out some of the key phrases and click things like "artistic" and "ingenious" to get some really amazing ones. The Wizard of Odd and Distress in Ocean are fabtabulous

No no no, I meant in general, I don't know much about Pain

Topcatyo

Pain is pretty shit.
Also, yeah, LBP kicks ass.

Topcatyo

Also, as for the sales, the game is still making what I imagine is a considerable amount of money when you look at this chart:

Quote from: Snake Clock;1513113Makes me wonder why it hasn't broke 200,000 sales. :p

Vgchartz.com has the game's sales at 1.99 million, so it's getting very close to that mark, Snake.
EDIT:: Actually, it's beaten your mark of 200,000 by a long shot.

But there's no Xbox 360 version of LittleBigPlanet!

I was referring to UK numbers, since that's where Polty is from.

These are still below Sony's expectations and mine. :(

I think the PS3 was the best choice for LBP for two reasons;

1. The Wii couldn't pull off it's look. LBP aims for simple done amazingly well, really simple, incredibly well. In theory this sounds like a good idea for the Wii, however with wii-toned graphics flaws would be easier to spot. Also needs more room for DLC.
2. The 360 charges for online play, this does NOT suit the LBP spirit, and it would have even less of a 360 market.

Didn't get my cheap shot on the Xbox 360 and thought I was being serious. _poogle_

GRRRR I WANT THIS GAME

it's the only reason i want a ps3 at all

Losperman

I've been pretty addicted to it these last few weeks. I even went out and paid for the MGS and Street Fighter add-ons, which I never though I would.

Topcatyo

Yeah, the MGS pack is pretty ballin'.  I haven't bought any of the costumes, just the level creation pack(s, when more come out).
I'm holding off on playing the game until they come out with the patch that fixes the bug that'd delete your saved data, since I got every item in the game and I don't want to lose my progress.
