my dad quit smoking and drinking, uh, not at the same time, but both after doing it for decades, and he just went cold turkey with zero side effects, and treats it like it's no big deal whatsoever. he's like "well I wanted to stop so I just stopped"
that's supposed to be something dads say, not something they can actually do, jeeze

thats my dad right here.
he also liked to smoke alot, and he loved alcohol too, but one day he said: ''i should better stop this shit'', and he went cold turkey.

the greatest info that he told me was that: ''if you want to quit smoking, you must also quit drinking coffee for a while. coffee always combines with smoking, and smoking always combines with coffee. the same thing applies to booze. wanna be more effective in quit smoking? quit coffee+alcohol at the same time.''

the strangest thing is that he was always pissed off/anxious while he was not smoking(in the first months), and he was even dreaming of smoking in his sleep, but after 1-2 years of non-smoking, he really didnt want to smoke anymore, and now (many years later) he actually hates cigarette smoke, and he wonders how he even standed to smoke in the first place.

note: he stopped smoking first, and a couple years after quitting smoking, he stopped drinking as well.
he still drinks coffee tho.(he started drinking coffee again 3 years after he stopped smoking).

@rob: dont start smoking, man. it will only ruin your lungs/your general health, and your stamina will stop into a crawl.
trust me, its not worth poisoning yourself for the excuse to ''look cool''.
you can be cool without smokes, you know?

@grey: man, i dont wanna say this, but perhaps you could try stop smoking first, and then, (a while later),to try and lower your booze consumption to only drink a few beers/drinks every now and then.
i mean, yeah alcohol can be just as bad as smoke, but at least (with a moderate use) alcohol tastes better, and it serves some purpose, unlike smoking, which its just smoke... you dont eat, you dont drink anything delicious, its just smoke+cool points for damaging your body.

hey, serious question, do you guys feel like trolling sucks now? I feel like trolling sucks now.

well, i guess its because the art of trolling people+the internet (to a greater extent), has become ''popular'' to the masses, or ''mainstream'' as phantomcat correctly said.

now it is considered ''cool'' to spend countless hours on the internet, while we were called ''morons'' and ''weirdos'' back in our days when we did it.
its so strange, and i guess if you REALLY want to kill something cool,  then you must make it ''mainstream'' +available to the masses.
the same thing happened with the classic internet memes. they started as a unique+funny way of communicating with eachother, and now everyone (over)uses memes so much, that they end up being bland+unfunny.
its quite sad, really.

our only hopes is that soon(?), 10 years later people will no longer consider the internet/memes to be cool, and they will move in into new things to ruin, while we will regain our niche+our awesome status quo of exclusive internetic lore.

to get trolled you had to not have the wisdom to recognize when getting riled up probably wasn't going to change anything about what you're getting riled up about.
