there was a quiet buzz about a so called 'Duke Begins' back in 2010ish, and while I can say I am not a huge fan of the changes to his character design insofar as the different haircut and sunglasses, this looks fairly promising. But it's long dead at this stage, of course.

one of those weirdo RPGs that I thought would never get fan translated is outright getting an official release. usually it's only 16 bit games that get this treatment anyways, not ps1 games.







I hope it's actually good, though I'd play it even if it's just weird for the sake of being weird. if it's still enjoyable that aint a bad thing. hopefully they dont fuck up the translation either. idk how that even happen when you're PAID to do it. I get it with old snes games cause they only had a month to translate giant 40 hour rpgs, and fan translations have infinite time, but nowadays it seems to be either a case of lazyness, or a case of "I can do better than the original creator" but they actually cant.

apparently the goemon snes games are near completely translated, not just the second one like I thought either. I've been through this before though, I half expect it all to get delayed for another five years.
