i take it vcr noticed my penchant for stickying/locking old threads and that i may have left this latest one stickied/locked for a scosche too long

actually I hadn't noticed because I only use New Posts Butan, but Marlin made a comment in the Discord asking whether that thread really needed to be stickied, assuming nobody but Rob was listening, and I thought it would be funny to do something about not doing anything about it
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

I haven't seen every flash with my clock character in it

I pitched a vcrclock/slurpeeclock feature to a focus group but everyone seemed to think all the lines were too long

so ruffle flash emulation is kinda not there yet. preloaders break a lot of movies, audio keeps going after it's supposed to stop, it's just kinda messy. I'll have to start downloading SWFs and convert what plays nice with swivel. though my ultimate cc hentai collab being a permanent loading screen in ruffle kinda keeps the spirit of the thing.

RobClock

I was so damn excited for Ruffle, but you're right it's half baked. Really bums me out too because all of my 2014 flash flood cartoons* use the FFV preloader... which was an edit of one of the official NG preloaders that breaks Ruffle.

Beyond that, I've seen movies linked by Tom in front page news posts that straight up have one frame of a movieclip that gets repeated ten thousand times glitched out, and that one frame is glitched every time it pops back up. Checked the SWF on Swfchan (and gave my computer a colonic) and it still plays right. MAYBE one TINY piece of data got messed up on NG—but I'd doubt it's not just Ruffle.

did newgrounds used to have a feature where you could download your movies swfs via the projects page or was that some sort of fever dream.

There is no way this winter is ever going to end as long as that groundhog keeps seeing his shadow. I don't see any way out of it. He's got to be stopped. And I have to stop him.

I've gotten a decent number of cameos despite only being here for 7 months, and I'm really happy with that.

I think my first game had like, 6? It had Strawberry, Me, Redbook, Grey, Orange, then right at the end, BB10 in his knight suit. There's technically 7, because if you decompile it you can find an unused sprite for Nintendo. I always really liked the BB10 cameo in that because he shows up at the end of the last level, and it plays a piece of music I wrote for him called "The Valliant BB10!", which I really liked, and although he asked for it, he never used it in any of his flashes. I get that he's busy and all, but I still wish it would of shown up elsewhere. If you lads want I can throw it in here and you lads can use it.

I think then later I had Brazil show up in my 10 Seconds (No Robs) entry, then BB10 again in 10 Seconds 3.

Absinthe Vs Nintendo had no cameos, which was weird. I wanted to have the crowd be all little CC members in the background, but I was really dedicated to finishing it in a day, so I just kept the background black. A bad idea looking back at it lmao.

FOUND FOOTAGE was fun cameo wise, as I got StrawberryClock to actually voice himself, which was amazing! I even wrote a little theme for him too, but its very quiet and short, and was made very quickly, but despite that, I really like the melody of it, and I'll probably use it again for his future appearances in my shit.

PMA2 has a few so far, but I've written a list of everyoen I want in it, and theres 22 so that'll probably be hard lol. Mainly because I want the original PMA cast to reunite, and like getting Iron is easy, getting MFC is easy, but getting my hands on Durian is gonnae be a pain holy fuck.

I hope you enjoyed A Brief History Of DoggoClock Cameos or HOW I LEARNED TO STOP WORRYING AND LOVE COCAINE

[HEMINGWAY] GreyClock sat at his computer. He was typing a post, reflecting upon his thoughts about writing styles, and his knowledge of them
[VONNEGUT] or lack thereof, such as it was. He made no attempt to hide his flaws,
[WALLACE] and unknown to him and the world, his beauty shone not through the naked barbarism of this honesty, but from it.
[BUKOWSKI] He let out a disinterested grunt around the mouth of his seventh beer of the morning over the noise of the Taiwanese hooker that lived upstairs screaming at another John
[GRRMARTIN] "My breasts," thought the hooker, her heavy chest heaving in rhythm with her shouts.
[CREEPYPASTA] Police and military are baffled as to what can have happened to this dramatic and malignant mysterious person called Grey, who went
[SHAKESPEARE] Inside the merry thread to talk / In the gathering quarter of cartoon clocks

[KELLER] Yes sir, round about then ol' Grey
[BANCROFT] did say unto them, lo and every man shall receive unto him his daily bread forever and ever
[ADAMS] or until the bread runs out.
[PRATCHETT] The bread had of course run out centuries ago, but it was important to keep to tradition.

[BARKER] His dick throbbed.

which I just found out are a series of tweets and I highly recommend if you are a fan of horror fiction

but I definitely didn't steal the bit about treating dean koontz like a lovable doofus that was just pure parallel thinking
I mean look at him

Slurpee

how do people not plagiarize, honestly
I just absorbed these years ago and they abstracted and melted into my brain then came back out in the exact same shape at an appropriate moment and my brain had no idea "clive barker's boner-horror" and "bukowski writing dynamic but lurid lexical flourishes peppered with distressingly specific quantities" were not original bits until after I already stole them
