Quote from: Slurpee on January 27, 2020, 10:09:22 PMI got automatically dropped from all my classes for "overdue payment" (they gave me two days from when I enrolled, and I wasn't even officially enrolled for some of them, just on the waitlist, so, mad.)
didn't find out until three days after it happened because my school e-mail stopped forwarding to my gmail account and apparently they couldn't text me a warning or something before RUINING MY LIFE
no j/k but it did put me in danger of not graduating on time, which is important because I'm graduating like a really short amount of time before I am going to need to find a new place to live
Nicely handled! I had a similar thing happen where my payment didn't go through and after two months of taking classes I got an e-mail that went like "Uhhh excuse me, sorry to bother you sir, but uhhh according to our files we haven't received this year's tuition yet? Could you please pay it at your earliest convenience? Thank you so much."

Quote from: Slurpee on January 27, 2020, 10:09:22 PMI say all this because I want everybody to know how deeply, deeply insane it is that I'm working on my Makin' Wavs collab part right now
:salute:

I was going to write something about people and their (lack of (interesting)) interests and how every new person I meet seems tapped into the pop culture hive mind of Instagram, reality tv and lip fillers. I try and dig, but there's just nothing underneath. Just once I'd like to meet someone and them being all like "I'm really into cacti. I read everything there is to read on them, I grow them, I fondle them." Just something. A while ago I met a girl who was really into Star Wars (which whatever, but okay), she even had a tattoo. So I was like "A Tattoo-ine, huh?" She laughed. I laughed. Icecream. Haven't seen her since. Like, vanished off the face of the fucking earth. Then I figured it's probably my fault, because of the circles I (don't) move in, my McJob, whatever. In college I guess you could expect a certain depth from people I guess (both elitist and untrue). I'm too judgemental. I started thinking about this in part due to Jamba and his obsession with kids' shows. Then again, everyone probably has their topics no one else gives a fuck about. Rob & Duke Nukem. Flounderman & some other game or whatever. Grey & his inane, angsty diatribes about some pseudo-sociological horseshit.

GreyClock

Hehehehehe hehehehe HEEH HEHEHE Hhe

RobClock

For the record, I have several inane bullshit interests nobody gives a fuck about aside from Duke Nukem

my interests include staring into the distance for hours at a time like a cat, stealing traffic signs, eating scabs, paying homeless people to dance, and getting drywall under my fingernails.

the first guy I ever dated was really into busses lol

he wasn't obvious about it (I think he was self-conscious about how nerdy it was) but he explained the difference between a trolley and a cable car when I erroneously referred to one as the other, and on facebook somebody tagged him in a video where they ask him a random ass question about a nearby bus and he just rattles off everything you could ever want to know about this bus and they were like "and how do you know? :3" and he's like "because I'm a weirdo who got really interested in busses when I was younger =("

PhantomCatClock

We have a shitload of cacti in pots. One, the "hairy old man cactus" (it is hairy and the hair is white, you see) my mom picked up from a desert the year my brother was born, and it blooms (then DIES) when it hits 50ish years old, so we're holding out for his 50th birthday. I guess my mom is a little into cactus, fly over and take her to ice cream

My only interests involve pouring salt on snails, buying italian flags to paint them into the flag of mexico instead, and changing my desktop background.

Inkwell made a new cartoon, and this one features his clock avatar https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/747019

It's really good and you should vote five

i'm back—yes, i know, it's been many long months—but slurpulationclock my search was long and hard and this time i've really done it

this time i've really found yet another internet intelligent who occasionally dips a little too far into overanalysis (these are video slurpeeposts, no less) and has me vaguely confused about if the compliment should be "handsome" or "sexy"

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN wait this is a private ccbt post for slurpee

SLURPEE I HAVE FOUND this year's person who fits this mostly imagined "hey that reminds me of Slurpee" until you tell me why it doesn't and I update my parameters and try again next year

let's hop to it:
[u2]LZqi0B-8LM0[/u2]
I started with this video because you don't really have to know anything about MtG: the Gathering to get the jokes except maybe why Bellringer is such a loser (his name in the other timeline was Dragonsquisher)

[u2]R4m2a2nI0Is[/u2]
This one is probably the most intelligenty* one but I don't remember how heavy it ties into knowing things about a fake card game universe so it is linked second (a "government" is like how people decide what their society should be if that helps)

[u2]U6LnVOV1SX8[/u2]
This one is also smarty but relies a lot on talking about not only Magic story but Magic story from like 1999 also not gonna lie it's getting linked because I've only watched three of this guy's videos and this puts us on the same page

also I don't want to spam this forum by double posting (that is against the rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) so today I went to work for the wrong store because I thought I had the day off so I covered a shift but I did not have the day off and my boss called me and while explaining that I'm a complete stupid dumbass with no integrity the boss at the other store shouted at me for being on the phone

PhantomCatClock

also, to answer concerns about thumbnail #2

• looks like the new bad from the new diablo new trailer
• yes, you can fuck her

Those were your questions. You weren't going to ask about the asterisk or the formatting or the punctuation.

I did something to my right shoulder and using a mouse and keyboard hurts so damn much. the left one only mildly hurts. but eventually I'm gonna find the right combination of pillows and reclining to animate more stupid shit. I'm gonna do it I swear to god.

Did we ever quantify the amount of Raven that was? I propose it was a leetspeak riddle all these years and it was simply 50 Raven

My new job has a LOT of standing still, and it's beating the shit out of my right shoulder for some reason. Not that bad, though, but I can feel my rotary cuff not being as flexible as the left one

I just hovered over the AIM and ICQ buttons on pcat's postbit and

  • who'd have thought that ICQ, with its dumbass UIN system, would outlast AIM and screen names
  • wikipedia article talks about "cracking down on using third-party clients" and I was like "pff who cares about third party clients," then realized that I did; third-party clients were generally always preferable to the official client and supported multiple services
  • wikipedia article talks about the russian government banning Telegram and recommending ICQ, because they can just wiretap ICQ lol
  • XMPP will finally catch on in approximately Year of the Linux Desktop +20
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

I've been using telegram for the same group chat for ~5 years now, and only in the last maybe 2 has it become this controversial thing. Or at least come to my attention as such. I still figure you're more liable to encounter degenerate and possibly illicit shit on any given discord server.

oh I didn't realize this was a thing we did, I thought it was just something that happened sometimes

I'm not like actively trying to shoot you down, I'm just genuinely not sure what it is about these strangers that remind you of me and you never explain

a friend of a friend once told me, "this isn't going to mean anything to you, but you remind me of my friend kyle. you just have a really similar attitude and sense of humor and stuff," then he looked at his girlfriend and said, "doesn't he remind you of kyle?"
she cocked her head and said, "kinda..."
I said, "I'm cuter."
they laughed, and he said, "see? isn't that something kyle would say?"
and she was like yeah okay
bastard kyle thinks he's cuter than me
but the thing is, if that conversation were presented to me in a vacuum, I don't know if I would have said that that was something that I would say. it's just something I said in the moment because it would be funny. I don't specifically perceive myself as being a Type of Person who would Say Something Like That

if I have a degree of self-awareness, that doesn't necessarily mean I understand who I am to other people, who don't spend every minute of every day with the mechanisms in my head. I likely have patterns of behavior that are apparent from the outside, but not to me when I'm looking at myself, because those patterns emerge from behaviors that, to me, are individually attributable to internal processes and don't necessarily have anything to do with each other

what is it about kyle that creates the same impression as me? is kyle witty? irreverent? cheeky? impish? alternatively gracious and aloof? slow to warm? is it the still waters thing? is he unusually thoughtful but also flagrantly noncommittal? emotionally intelligent but oblivious to tension? gentle but iconoclastic? tall? gay? big dicked? cute? cuter than me? is he cuter than me?

so this guy might be close to me, I don't know
I don't know what sort of person I am to a person who's not me
maybe I'm this guy
maybe I'm kyle
