I lost all passion for my job when I found out I wasn't being considered for the next promotion because I had a migraine one (1) day and had to take ten days off because it was a covid symptom. Stepping down from fulltime so I can find something else or at least fuck around at home more

my job still seems to be secure, but it makes me a little nervous that my specific, kinda stupid job responsibility is not gonna look like "relevant experience" to almost anyone else, should I ever have to leave it, so I'm kind of afraid to make any financial commitments that wouldn't be sustainable should my next job hunt result in $12 or $13/hr

would be cool if I had the kinda career/education track record where I had skills that could potentially land me any of a number of salaried swivel chair jobs without much convincing, but I guess I'm not built for that anyway 🥴

Funnily enough I intended to leave my current janitorial job to work in the local coal mine ($30/h!!!) but it closed after the owner died in a helicopter crash. I'm currently applying for work at a cabinet shop a few minutes up the road from me out in the boonies. $20/h and I will save literally hundreds in gas from not having to drive in and out of town every day.

it's a side passion that also will likely not turn into a hussle [sic] but i have one (1) client and did drop $1000 on a sick workstation laptop so I figured I might as well stay organized



and apparently that is literally the only reason to do it at this point. There's no tax whatever for doing it as a bidnis, just like, once money is involved, it is nice for The Business to be the one whose wallet is on the line

Nier Replicant added Ending E so now I have to play through this crap three times (and beat the final dungeon four times) all over again with a downgraded protagonist just so I can see it. I know I can just watch it on youtube eventually but the game man... it's calling me. I hope the new voice acting is good. The old translation wasn't perfect (not as bad as DR3 holy shit) but the voice direction was phenomenal.
