Started watching Riverdale again, season 3 is a gigantic train wreck even after how awful season 2 was, even with how bad season 1 was in mind

There's this whole thing about a cult, an ongoing intrigue about 'Gryphons & Gargoyles' which is painful to watch, playing with the satanic panic sort of idea about D&D being a gateway to occultism that kicks off with Dilton fucking dying by drinking a chalice of poisoned """Fresh-Aid""", Ronnie is running a non-alcoholic 'speakeasy' underneath Pop Tate's for no reason, Archie goes to Juvie and ends up in an underground fighting circuit, every character has become incredibly insufferable and practically nothing happens in any given episode despite all these ridiculous storylines.

PhantomCatClock

I forget that show exists and am only reminded due to someone telling me it's even worse than I thought, every time

Ronnie is running a non-alcoholic 'speakeasy' underneath Pop Tate's for no reason,

I knew I liked that girl
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

PhantomCatClock

I honestly thought reggie when he said ronnie until you said girl

Watched another episode last night it's now an alcoholic bar which makes a lot of sense since these characters are sixteen

VCRClock

welcome to my speakeasy. the concept is 'drinking at 16,' so if you order a cocktail and it's not a jack & coke we'll tell you we don't know what that is. We've got lots of fireball and wine coolers though

also there's a chance some of the vodka behind the bar might be watered down, but we're pretty sure we remember which bottle it was

Welcome to drinking underaged, we've got all your favourites;
- empties of Budweiser from your uncles porch combined to make half a beer
- shark piss
- mikes hard lemonade

Please locate your drink of choice behind the large stump next to the birch tree in the woods just beside the old elementary school

I gotta get back to watching that show. As I watched season 1, I kept thinking "wow, this is actually pretty good. Much better than I expected." In season 2 and 3, I kept thinking "wow, okay, it just keeps getting worse," I just wanted to keep watching. And then I ran out of episodes.
