I'm trying so hard to not buy Guild Wars 2
it looks like so much fun and it's so interesting but oh my god the inevitable timesink. I barely have a life as it is.

SoBe Clock

It certainly was my personal GOTY for good reason.

I've been playing it for a good 4 months and I'm still really into it. Darkmatter plays it a lot as well. You can seriously lose track of time playing if you're into it.

On the other hand...

I watched this video

how is it that this guy's home is lined with wall-to-wall anime crud in questionable taste, but my anime-less room still looks like more of a shithole by comparison?
did he stare crosseyed into an ikea catalog, thereby acquiring arcane esoteric interior design jutsus??

is this some europe thing I don't know about???

also I learned a lesson about licking animes but that's beside the point
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

That's pretty much how I ended up with a male hamster named Barbara and a male frog named Lavender.

my question is how do you even eventually find out the gender of a bird or a frog or a hamster?

I don't know about frogs or hamsters, but as for birds it depends on the type.

In the case of parakeets and some other kinds of parrots, males of the species will have a different color cere than females of the species.

In the case of cockatiels, you can tell by differences in the plumage.

I think there are some kinds of birds whose gender can't be told visually, those kinds can just be taken to a vet to tell.

:saywhat:

Also, male and female hamsters have different markings on their fur, but they are almost impossible to distinguish just after they're born. We misread one of their marks.

Male African dwarf frogs have small white patches under their arms, but the females don't. When we bought this male he was very small and pale, so his patches looked the same color as his skin. One day we saw Lavender getting it on with Hermione so we knew it was either some Harry Potter fan's lesbian fantasy or Lavender was actually a male.
