That's pretty much how I ended up with a male hamster named Barbara and a male frog named Lavender.

She laid an egg. Pretty sure that males can't do that. Pretty sure.

In the case of cockatiels, you can tell by differences in the plumage.

We checked her plumage and the marks under the tail. She has a bright yellow head and bright orange cheeks. No lines under the tail. STUPID COLOR MUTATIONS.  It's neat to find another bird nerd.

I don't really pay attention to the value of the comics books I buy/own, but I decided to look up some prices out of boredom. Turns out this book is worth around $50 now. I think I paid like $3 for it.
