Also, I said I was going to make movies for the 12 daze of Clockmas but I'd have to get the first one out tonight to stay on schedule and I don't know if I'll be able to because work sucks and stuff.

I will try mah best.

AstronautClock

anyone play league of legends here? i started playing it in the evenings after work with my colleagues

Slurpee

what's it like

that's one of the games where i like the character designs but i heard the online community is dogshit. like everybody's sure they individually are awesome as fuck, and their teammates suck etc. so you get a bunch of angry dorks yelling at each other

Slurpee

one time like three years ago i couldn't remember what we call our clock personas as distinct from us as individuals and my brain improvised something like horomorphic representational avatar and i bring this up because im hereby launching a campaign to adopt it as the official name

horo- latin, clock
morphic- latin, in the shape of
representational
avatar- an icon or figure representing a particular person in computer games, Internet forums, etc

as a scientific body it's the most accurate name we could adopt. who's with me???i would also accept "fursona"

PhantomCatClock

I always liked your OC the best, Slurpee

I loved League, but the community was so toxic I feel like I played less than fifty games of it. I've been doing Hearthst Heroes of the Storm and that's much nicer, in that regard. I should say, though, anyone who's played LoL will probably hate Heroes just by how simplified it is by comparison

As far as I can tell all online multiplayer communities ever are terrible and I'm right to stick with couch multiplayer. also what is this "clock persona" shit? I don't know about you guys but I actually am a dirty scaly fish man with a clock for a face.

I played a lot of league a couple of years ago, thought everyone has played it by now.
But I've gotten pretty tired of it.
Mostly because games are pretty random in nature, it's very hard to have any influence on the game at all.

Slash

I still play the game a little from time to time, but it's mostly checking out new characters.

Slash

I just don't really get what people mean by saying league has a bad (toxic) community.
Does league attract particularly nasty players, is that what you're implying?
Because that makes no sense whatsoever, I'm sure league player are the same people you play CS:GO with or WoW or whatever other online game you might play.
the thing is just that LoL can be a very frustrating game in which 5 random people are thrown into a cell and told to be nice to each other and get penalized if they're not or try to leave.
It doesn't help that many games are already lost about 15 minutes before they're actually finished.
I can list more reasons why the game itself causes this toxicity but if that is what you mean by toxic community, then sure I guess it does have a toxic community,
but saying league is a game that leads to people getting frustrated and wanting to vent that frustration would be more appropriate.

PhantomCatClock

how about shitty community then

Not the point I was trying to make.
What I meant was is that people keep calling it a toxic community and keep echoing that back and forth,
But what they fail to consider is that maybe the community is just bunch of players you could encounter in any game
and it's simply the game itself that causes them to get pissed of at each other,
I can tell you that HoN and DOTA2 have the same problems, it's not just League but also games that are similar.
