He's probably just going on a Stephen Spielberg adventure to find BB10 and will be back after learning the true meaning of friendship/gold. I think he's vanished for a month or two before now, though I'll admit it's scary timing

PhantomCatClock

alternate theory: I just saw this documentary on Christmas Island and how this species of ant recently introduced is destroying the entire damned thing, especially the local crustaceans. Pray for our chitinous ally, Rob.

You know he's not really a lobster right

PhantomCatClock

I swear to god I'm going to chip your paint, pour water in you, and let you rust

And the installation is freeeee

Why would he do that he didn't do that

I don't remember what game the image was taken from, or how long ago I found it, but I remember the site. I kind of love that there's a place on the internet for people who want to preserve and swap obscure '80s Japanese computer games. I'm not the only person who thinks the artwork often speaks for itself.
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

I'm an actual unwashed nerd, so I found it on this site dedicated to preserving/indexing/documenting fujitsu/pc-88/pc-98 games. Much more material there, but also many more boring mahjongg games to dig through.

hey phantomcat, how's Legion?

you're really the only person I know who still pays money for WoW

Just played Legion for about three or four hours. I spent the entire download time trying to decide which class I'd level first (I ultimately went by who got the coolest looking artifact weaponâ€"all of the specs I play get boring looking ones, though). Ended up making a Demon Hunter while I waited for my #1 WoW E-homie to get on so I could discuss it with him. I spent a good damn ten minutes jumping around because it was more entertaining than I thought it'd be (you get a triple jump, and basically infinite engineering parachute). ANYWAY went in to grab the first quest not expecting much, but I heard from all my friends who finally dragged me back into it that it immediately throws you into class quests rich with lore, blah blah blah

After about ten minutes I was already at the "holy shit" phase

An hour later I was convinced that that starting zone was better than WoW in general had been before Legion

It's not even the ideas and lore and stuff (I mean, obviously we all have objections to the things they announced), it's just the changes they made to the game. I might just be excited now that I have a computer that gets two second loading screens instead of two minute loading screens (even though fucking Dal-lag-ran is as bad as ever) but I would really recommend it from what little I've seen. I JUST got past the starting zone, the Death Knight-like king visit, and got jettisoned into the new continent and accepted one quest there but decided to take a break since Dalaran's a resting zone.

Do you already have the actual expac? I could spot you the gold for a month of time. My auctiony alt had enough for me and I was about to pay the $15

PS Spartan UI is fucking cool but I keep looking at the top of my screen for information and get nothing until I lucidly remember it's on the bottom. I'm a tank to avoid queue times so I can't wait to explain this one to the groups I murder. "GUYS I'M SORRY BUT I HAVE A NEW UI MY SCREEN'S TOO BIG NOW"

RobClock

Sometimes I think about attempting to ressurect the Spam Novel again. It always struck me as such a basic concept that required bare minimum effort to contribute to.

Then I remember that it's not 2007 anymore
