It is a crazy idea, although in no way novel. People have tried in the past to make (non-flash) games about Clocks. Most ideas were severely unrealistic, I'm talking World of Warcraft with Clocks. I tried twice myself. The first time I didn't get beyond modelling a few Clocks in 3d. Although I remember there being talk about buying a game engine etc. These were just the pipe dreams of a bunch of dumb fifteen-year-olds. The second effort was perhaps a little more achievable: I envisioned it as a glorified chatroom with pixel Clock characters, but I quickly lost interest. I'm not quite sure, but I vaguely remember playing a 3d game with Clock avatars for a while, you could build houses and stuff out of basic components, sort of like in The Sims, but first person. I think that was a mod of some game though. Or perhaps you could add your own 3d player models to the game, I'm not sure. Anyway, it doesn't matter because no one is going to Kickstart shit. We were perhaps, maybe, the tiniest bit known in some corner of the internet ten years ago, but now we are a dead planet orbiting a fading sun. Face facts, you dumb fifteen-year-old.
ah yes.
but we could do something that IS possible: a platformer for the PC, with clock-characters, and a basic story, while the objective will be to collect CC's/B's/peggeys(if we can, otherwise add a different animal, such as duck.fla)/etc etc, and as the clock-character/player collects those items, he/she can upgrade his/her stats, his castle, and he can progress further into the game, after he unlocks several new levels.
also it will have some mini bosses+large bosses, depending on the stage of the game/the players progress.

i believe that such a game, a basic(?) platformer featuring CC characters and a basic introduction to the CC lore/the CC mythos, is, in fact feasible: WE CAN DO IT.

Also, my last day of work is on Sunday. For the last six months, it was an exciting idea, but now that it's here it's just scary and a little sad
last days of work can be scary.
question: do you hate your job?
and is it fullfilling/beneficial in any way?
if the answer to both is no, then i guess you should search for a new one.
if its not a conscious choice, then i am sad to hear that, and i simply hope the best for you.
dont worry, man; you can do it.

I'd probably have never heard of them if one yoyoer. Like, I've seen a lot of kendamas, too, and I only know about that because it's the couple-years-ago-toy-that-didn't-make-it-that-yoyoers-were-aware-of (Astrojax ring any bells? Though I think kendamas did better since I still see those sometimes)
aww fuck dude I JUST FOUND MY ASTROJACKS brb jackin it
aha, i see.

i dont know astrojax at all/or those fidget-spinner things...
but i AM familiar with those kendama toys.
when i was young, kids played with them.
but we called them ''chinese sticks'' or ''chinese riddle toys''.
they were fun. (and tricky to master).

0) somebody added the outlines to the footage. I feel like this is obvious but yeah
1) fun game, without looking it up, try to guess what they're supposed to be drawing
2) I like the guy that didn't know what show he was on

orlando brown: (draws 3/4 of a dick and stops dead) that was some of my best work!

he's the clear star of this blooper reel. the question, of course, is where is this young talent now?

I thought I knew what this song was about, then he started talking about how his favorite stripper is engaged to his bro and apparently some lady has sex with his entire crew in a [land] rover?

it's sort of like he had enough shit on his mind to base an entire rap career on how fucking insane you end up when you spend your childhood acting in LA, but he really only had the budget to cram all that shit into one fledgling single
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.

I'm on episode 10 of Twin Peaks season 2 now and while s2e1 definitely opened in a way that put me off, so far I'm still enjoying the show. The conclusion to the laura palmer murder story arc was satisfying for me, I don't know what the general consensus on that is.

I just finished Anne episode 7 which was the season finale. I was apprehensive about this show at times because of what felt like shoe-horned modernisms into a story that really gains nothing from it, but I loved the season finale, and looking back I'd say I definitely liked the series more than i was bothered with aspects of it. The only thing about this episode I didn't care for was Matthew's attempted suicide, insofar as I would be very surprised if that came from the children's books, and it serves no purpose in the story other than cheap emotional manipulation. I desperately hope CBC gives us another couple of seasons for this programme.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 was a formulaic but ultimately entertaining movie. It can be frustrating with its constant jokes and undermining the emotional buildup of every scene, but the good outweighs the bad. I was especially fond of the sexy gold ladies and their Ender's Game legion of ships which is confirmed to come back in GotG 3 whenever the fuck that drops. The vintage-pop-music soundtrack wasn't as memorable to me this time, but the first movie prominently featured songs that I already really liked. I have had 'Brandy' by looking glass stuck in my head all week.

I intend to see King Arthur: Legend of the Sword this weekend so I'll report back when that turns out to be an utterly forgettable and disappointing squib. Or maybe it'll be good, that would be lovely.

You know when i first heard this guys voice, and he said he was on 'thats so raven', i assumed he was the corey in the house kid. Listening to that song, I was like 'nah thats not it'

he was Fillmore, the hallway monitor

i still believe that we can achieve such a thing...
we could even end up on steam's greenlight, if we play our cards right.

we just need to organise+to get in this together.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword

Not good

dreary, washed out visuals, ugly CGI, horrible quick jerky edits, terrible music, eyeroll inspiring overly quippy dialogue, blatant overseas pandering*, not even to mention the arbitrary diversity casting, with such contempt for its source material youre left to wonder why it even bears the title it does. It would likely have been better served by creating its own IP.

Vortigern is the principal antagonist (you can tell he's evil because his soldiers do the nazi salute) and we're treated to skyscraping CGI elephants and a myriad of snakes, but no mention at all of dragons WHY

Charlie Hunnam has the tremendous ability to look like a total douchebag at all times no matter what he's doing and he manages to worm in that thing where he hooks his thumbs on the front belt loops of his pants despite the fact that im pretty sure the pants he wears all movie have no belt loops.

there's this hilarious great scene at the beginning of the movie where Uther puts baby moses thrall Arthur in a boat as Vortigern's men raze Camelot, when Shao Kahn shows up and throws a 3D effect at the audience through Arthur's Mom. Uther proves to be ALL TOO EASY but then does this sick knife toss with Excalibur where it like goes up in the air and spins around before impaling him and turning him into the stone that Arthur has to pull the sword from at which point i laughed out loud in the theatre for like a solid 2 minutes

It's just not fun. Not even on the level of a sword and sorcery flick. All the magic stuff seems like it was ripped wholesale from Game of Thrones, the fight scenes are ugly and un-engaging, you never get a sense of beauty or wonder from the world these characters inhabit. Feels more like someone's muddy back yard than sweeping English countryside. You never really get connected with the characters either, come to think of it. They don't really receive proper introductions, their names kind of get dropped in passing after they've already been treated as established members of cast. I don't even know what the bitch in the blue cloak's name was- they just kept calling her 'mage'- and she was the fucking love interest! Is this Guinevere, movie? You've given me no reason to assume it is!

*medieval england has a section of london dedicated to chinese martial artists? wot?

Twin Peaks Season 2

I done finished it. My god, what an ending. I couldn't imagine watching it as it aired back in the day and to have it cancelled on that cliffhanger.
Things got more meandering in the middle as I more or less anticipated. All you guys who warned me about the decline in quality were definitely on the money, it was a bit of a struggle to maintain interest for a few episodes. The stuff with James and the MILF, Ben's Civil War miniatures re-enactment, and Nadine's highschool excursion.... it dragged.

Glad I watched it though, on the whole, I would definitely recommend. Anticipating the reboot.
