So this is twice now that I've had any sort of emotional response to an author's death. Kurt Vonnegut when I was in high school, and today
Kentaro Miura. Found out about ten minutes after it was announced. No discussion beyond a few posts anywhere yet, no articles. With Vonnegut it was easy to accept as I wasn't ripped out of a the second half of a story I was emotionally invested in, told for over thirty years across five decades. It's a weird unfamiliar feeling.

Seeing it end was some wonderful if far off thing I took for granted that I'd see some day, I had a trust in him I didn't extent to other famously hiatusy authors in regular books or those of the comic variety. He had the passion, interest, energy, and raw skill to make it happen. He was only 54. He had a fully trained set of assistants ready to work full time for good pay he could afford. Even got married a couple years ago! Hadn't had time to even date since college due to his grueling schedule but he found someone.

Then his heart fucking exploded. The journey is over in an instant and we'll never see the other half. I'm unhappy, but I'm fortunate I got to experience it as long as I did. In the end all I can think of is how good it was. I even recommend it now in its "complete" form. It's so much more than just "badass rage fueled muscleman fucks shit up with a big sword" (though it does that splendidly). There's a reason it had so much influence throughout its run.

CONTROLLERS ARRIVED strangely fast, all things considered AND

they good. Top heavy, though it's not like I've ever felt one without a wire before. Maybe controller tail assists in balance, consult a biologist for more information. Buttons are close to genuine, though if they can be broken in, it's safe to say my nearly thirty year old original ones are there fully. The start and select buttons do not work this well on the originals, but that's hardly a complaint. The D-Pad is more stiff and that's a little disappointing, but it's not like it doesn't work well. Noticed abilities that roll across the pad but aren't supposed to hit off-axis buttons are more difficult to pull off—tested with a Gazer Spiral on both Switch Online and the original console. Not a software difference, either, as the Switch Pro Controller was able to do it easily. That said this is easy to compensate for, and I'm almost at the point where I can just lean back and enjoy wireless HD SNES experience without being a filthy pirate

but yeah, not as faithful as the NES controllers. Mostly upgrades and one downgrade. Still would rate 100% because I'm a bitch but there are other things, like the harder plastic feeling weird and a sharp bit near the L button. RECOMMENDED
