how fucking cool was the fucking guitar in this theme

[u2]2FcelK-lAPI[/u2]

iconic.

PhantomCatClock

I've seriously had What A Cartoon's theme stuck in my head all week

PhantomCatClock

and why are there so many empty and uncorked glass bottles laying around here that say "Potion of Literacy (extra strength)" on them

I try not to talk about hating christmas or whatever because I know, deep down, in my heart of hearts, it's actually my family that i hate, but there are a couple of songs. Just a few.

Our station plays more than one version—to reiterate, multiple different recordings—of Santa Claus is Coming to Town where the last half, at least, of the song is just the main singer belting out "SAAAAAAAAAAAAAANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN.... SAAAAAAAAAAANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN" like

fuck off

this year, though, I know I've heard this before, but now that I've actually listened to it, it's the most trite horseshit

[u2]6m32hQbnNaQ[/u2]

right up there with kids shows that will add the word "today" to the end of any sentence to make it rhyme when it was a complete sentence without it. or was it "for me"? one of those used to piss me off

that one may be someone's favorite song and i'd hate to end this on losing any carol street cred, so I will end with another that I'm sure everyone here can agree is an instant classic:

[u2]BeM-JMVmakY[/u2]

i actually hate this one less now that I see the singers look the appropriate age for—god no it got to the jingle bells bit fuck i take it all back I WISH ALL THE CHRISTMAS IN THE WORLD WAS GONE

RobClock

I also hate Christmas but elvis' Christmas album slaps

haha
well now I have to check that out

my go-to "get zero complaints from most normal people" christmas albums are A Motown Christmas and A Jolly Christmas from Frank Sinatra

throw on Twisted Sister's A Twisted Christmas if you want people to laugh and ask what the fuck is happening and then gradually start to go "wait... this is actually kinda good. ????" and then kind of stop paying attention until the last track which is horrifyingly, laughably terrible

Oh no, yeah, I get it. I just wanted to share some of the joys of working retail and having to hear these infinity times a day—or hear the first one at all, now that I'm free from the last one

now, if they played songs like this:
[u2]IKfhykT0WBc[/u2]

then I'd probably love Christmas and convert

(fun fact: that's a whole entire album)

Everyone please send me your favourite Christmas-themed YTPs so I can collect them to a playlist early to show my family on the christmas eve

I had the most I'm a edgy teen dream last night and I remember a few details of it very distinctly

I'm arriving at a house party of some description, someone greets me outside of the house where a small group of partygoers are amassed, I asked what's all going on and the person who greeted me says something like "well, over here the boys are playing stone toss" and I see a man throwing a pebble at a small pile of pebbles on the street, the guy then says "you ever play ketchup?" And I turn my head to see someone throwing a larger rock straight down onto one of those double wide Heinz ketchup packets like to burst it. Then I go into the house and there's a blue tooth speaker that looks like a hockey puck with a strobing LED multicolour skeleton dancing on top of it.

RobClock

When did we word filter arr tarrd

RobClock

Also it should be "I'm an edgy teen"

PhantomCatClock

someone must've been trying to frame me for that filter

I've done one (1) word filter but i can't remember what it was

Am I I'm a edgy teen?

i'm sorry your friend k9clock beat you to making that word part of his personality

i'm not removing the filter because everyone else ought to know how to be funny without using that particular tool. i trust you'll find the novel grammar construction in the rhetorical question "Am I I'm a edgy teen?" is itself quite satisfactory.

also since i didn't read "edgy teen dream" as filtered in your original post, I read it as if you thought it was an edgy teen dream, and I was like yeah going to a house party that's pretty cool i'm so far removed from doing that that I'd probably never dream about it

it did used to be 'i'm an edgy teen' pcat probably forgot he messed with it
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

VCRClock

there have been some good posts over the past couple of pages but i'm feeling under the weather and don't have the energy to commend them individually

declaring moral bankruptcy for tax reasons even though you still have a good, but not great, amount of morals is bad, but not bad enough to morally bankrupt me
