ITT books that could make good films

David Thorpe's Hybrids would make a great movie, and i'd like to see the special effects done for the infected.
What other literature would you guys like to see as blockbuster films?

Lets just take a look at the Old bookshelf....
A 3-part Dune could be good. Maybe. Hyperion would be interesting as well. And finally, The entire Horus Heresy series would be EPIC.

It's not a book, but Rime of the Ancient Mariner would make a great movie.

the stand by stephen king would make a good lotresque trilogy

Both of these are awesome in concept, but would suck horrendously if ever attempted. Dune was attempted by David Lynch and ended up a laughably bad mess, and any W40k film would probably turn out like Battlefield Earth or worse.
