used to dumpster dive, back before compactors and in-building disposal started creeping in to all of my favorite spots. It's a cleaner hobby than most suspect, just don't go anywhere where they draw blood or eat food and the bins are clinical.

In the paper recycling behind half-price books, I found six current textbooks that my college used, two that I needed to buy. In the adjacent bin on the same day I found a bunch of vinyl albums and a copy of doom that was on four floppy disks.

Behind CVS, a big box covered in red-print cellophane tape. It read "do not open" I opened it and found about ten pounds of assorted meds, mostly loose pills but some bottles too. I was going to make a collage with it but I ended up selling them all to this guy named Benito for 200 dollars. I was young and poor at the time.

Beside an apartment dumpster in a large pile of furniture I found a locked case. About ten minutes of fiddling revealed it to be full of comic books, and a four boxes of hollowpoints.

I still have everything but two of the hollowpoint boxes and the drugs. Lucrative hobby.

i once found this busted GI joe + miniture human skeletal model in a school dumpster after the school year in elementary school. i tossed the gi joe but kept the clothes and put it on the skeleton which fit perfectly. i burned the clothes a little and dirtied it a little and it looked like an undead soldier and it was FUCKING AWESOME AND I LOVED THAT TOY
