Oven man in Resident Evil 4 was scary, and the Regenerators scared the shit out of me.

Overall though, i could play Resident Evil 4, And I've completed Resident Evil 5 On veteran- Wasn't scary at all. But oh well. Still a kick-ass game.

I have Silent Hill 2 for PC and i've never installed it. Looks like im'a have too.

I've never played a Resident Evil game, and I've quit every Silent Hill game because of crappy controls, shitty camera angles and lack of action.

I sorta feel Sinister's sentiment, I only got through Silent Hill 2 because of its great story, but I know it's the adrenaline rush from being scared that makes that sort of thing enjoyable for some people, just like how it is with roller coasters. The idea of purposefully doing it is mindboggling only because I don't enjoy it.

That said, I'm within a similar category of people who get an adrenaline rush from spinning, even though I know it can make other people sick quite easily.

E: With RE4+5 you can't really call them survival horror, at least I felt it was more action than horror, regenerators and burning man notwithstanding.

Love that thing. You can actually kill it, it's an invisible monster. Makes weird screaming noises... I believe it's saying, "Ritual."

I think for me the appeal of survival horror games is usually their story. They tend to be more plot-focused than other games, and I think SH2 in particular has one of the best stories ever. Every facet of the game is basically designed to support it.

Rule of Rose is another good horror game, albeit having the most unbearable fighting controls ever. The plot is pretty interesting/ confuzzling.

Also, anyone saying Pyramid Head isn't scary is a fucking liar. Try walking around the labyrinth and accidentally stumbling into him. He will fuck your brain up.
