I'm playing Resident Evil Deadly Silence (Resident DS but hilarious name anyways.) It's basically a playstation port of the original Playstation Resident Evil, anyway I'm still finding myself unable to play the game because I'm so afraid of it. It has the same terrible graphics but I'm afraid of it. I've killed three zombies and I keep turning the game off because I get too scared to play anymore. I'll watch people play survival-horrors but I cannot play them. I'm such a wuss.

KINDRED SPIRIT!

Silent hill 1 is kinda scary (I didn't get to finish it all) but some of the enemies are ridiculous. SH2 has enemies which are truly nightmarish. But the thing that makes it still scary today is the sound. The sounds are in some parts horrifying. It also helps to have an active imagination, and to play these games in a dark room.

Though I agree, the gameplay wasn't great, most of the puzzles in Hard Riddles mode were ok, on other modes they were far too easy.

Though you have to admit that they, at times, added to the feeling of horror by being difficult (the controls that is).

One memorable moment of SH2 was in the prison courtyard, you can only see a few feet ahead of you and everything else is pitch black. Every now and then you'll hear something running towards you then just before it comes in to sight you hear it running off.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but for SOME REASON Pyramid head didn't really seem to scare me - I'll mainly be scared by a games general atmosphere rather than one specific enemy. I really like survival horror gams, and I can admit I've been scared before, but never enough to turn off or even momentarily pause the game.

That being said, I kinda miss the genre now. Anyone have an good suggestions?

when playing a Survival Horror I'm usually tempted to turn the game off but I usally say to myself " what is the worst thing that could happen" and then I shit my pants because a zombie jumped out of a closet *Fucking closets*
