It's seriously baffling how people can try to defend this! The style of graffiti art can be done on any surface, you don't need to force somebody, against their will to hold your image, yet you do! This is NOT like the drug issue; using drugs only hurts you. Painting on somebodies wall some scribbles that you think look pretty only hurts OTHERS. People who want graffiti all over their city are the minority. The proof is that there are laws against it, laws passed by the majority of people.

i don't know about you but out of the countless graffiti writers i know not one of them has ever painted someone's house, garage, barn, place of worship or etc.


graff writers paint industrial and commercial buildings and/or public transit, and they do it for free out of there own pockets, you should be happy there are people like them who are concerened with their surroundings and are doing something to beautify and breathe life into your city.

You are totally right 13 year olds writing their nicknames on the side of buildings over and over again is totally fucking art.

As fucking inasane as this might sound, not everyone who live in the city wants to look at the same piece of (proabably awful) artwork every day or have it painted on thier building, because as fucking insane as this sounds if a place has shit written all over the walls people are less likely to spen their money there.

Most people would consider spilling paint on your shirt or writing their name on your shirt to be invasive and ruining the shirt. Again, the people here defending graffiti are forgetting here that not everyone likes graffiti, but the artists are still forcing it on you, it's no different than someone on the bus playing really loud music - it doesn't matter whether or not you like the music and ergo have no problem with it, other people on the bus might not, and imagine if they were playing music you hated.
