Oh God, why?

Wait, Gary Oldman is in it? There is hope yet! I really hope the motion capture isn't as shitty as it was in Beowulf though...

camoclock is a great man

Fuck do we need another version of this?

Do you just have some sort of irrational hatred for Jim Carrey?

TabascoClock

That poster reminds me of A Series of Unfortunate Events, I don't remember if it was good or bad though.

Nah, I'm just not a fan of his "acting," and I really don't think he is right for such a classic, NOR do I think it should be remade again. There is no reason for it. It actually has little to do with Jim Carrey, and everything to do with this being a terrible idea for a movie... But it could be good, if done right...

Munglai

I thought it was kind of a cool idea, at least compared to all the other remakes. I saw a clip though and it looks pretty video gamey. Hyper-realistic motion capture just doesn't look right.

Plus it'll never outdo Muppets Christmas Carol.

This is my thought about every Christmas Carol adaptation.

Though, I do want to see Christopher Lloyd as Scrooge before he dies.

We walked by the poster for this movie when we went to see Public Enemies. My friend Keith said "Jim Carrey's reprising his role from A Series of Fortunate Events" and I said "The only way we're seeing this is if Jim Carrey also plays the ghosts and haunts himself."
edit: HOLY FUCKING SHIT HE DOES WHAT THE FUCK

that's pretty awesome

also it seems that Gary Oldman is doing the motion capture for Tiny Tim and some kid is doing the voice, which is also kind of cool

I had similar thoughts, but like Wind-Up said it might work if done right, I'm not much of a fan of Zemeckis' latest stuff though.

Personally I'll always love the Disney Christmas Carol the most, it was a holiday staple. I think we still have it on an old VHS somewhere.
