What happened to some clocks?

2006 was the last time I was active in the Clock Crew and I never turned back so I missed a lot. What happened to some clocks like Rupee, BlueZombie, Tree? Is there anymore that have left? Why did they leave?

Rupee has been shunned, BlueZombie can't see the forum through his $300 sunglasses, and Tree has been kidnapped and sold to the white slave market as a prostitute.

I am in the same boat as you. I have only been slightly - as in a few days a year - active. There should be some sort of event time line made so this doesn't happen. It has happened every time I leave and come back to visit. Things are usually for the worse.

Rupee got banned by Albino after siding with Wade after Wade deleted a bunch of Clock Crew submissions after we flooded the Portal with movies about camels. Albino and a bunch of other people were saying Rupee obviously didn't get the Clock Crew, never shoulda been here in the first place, yadda yadda. The ban got lifted, eventually, but Rupee must have felt a little scorned/jilted because he hasn't come back. It was kind of a mess.

Tree disappeared in most respects without much trouble. He just kind of stopped showing up, but, for academic purposes, there was a big dramatic thing over the virginia tech massacre, because Tree knew some of those people, but people in the clock crew were making fun of it, and blergh. That was a huge mess.

BZ got made fun of a lot for being so cool and taking so many pictures with his guitar.
I don't think there was any big deal where he left or anything but I might have missed it.

Not mentioned yet, Strange left to avoid forum drama, and seems to be functioning happily (he made a youtube submission for clock day) though we miss him terribly.

Renegade also disappeared, kind of, I think, I can't even remember if there was a reason, but his presence is sorely missed as well.

Blackmagic, Albino, Durian, Virus... may pop in from time to time, may not.

We leave the porch light on for them, but who knows?

I believe Renegade left over some drama in the Grid, or something related to the Green Door and his SMod rank. Something complicated, stupid and embarassing. Oh well, hopefully these people will come back.

I'm not here that much anymore either. I made maybe 2 submissions in 2008 and only 1 this year so far. I dunno, I guess after I got clocked, I stopped putting too much effort into flash. I worked hard to make flash during 06 and 07 because I wanted to be as active as I could to get voted as a clock successfully. The old clockification system is gone. Now you're a clock after being here for 6 months.
I was one of the last of the clocks to be clockified the old way.

They have all pretty much stopped coming around for whatever reason and for the most part are indeed sorely missed....for me especially durain. As said before they are all welcome back here should they ever choose to come back....lucky for you I'm still here, welcome back.

Lol, I'm not the only one who hasn't been that active after clockification. After I got clocked flash took a back seat to other stuff. I mean after I got voted in and had organized my own collab and made my new .fla there was nothing for me to really work towards. I just don't have the same kind of free time I had back in junior high school.
