There are four of them.
None of them say they are full animations, while one has one part animated you douchebag, its not even part of the main story.

Marlin Clock

The crux was he said animation, those weren't animated movies, therefore, Disney's was the first animated Alice in Wonderland.

Douchebag.

Bickering like you two are a large part of the reason why I don't visit the Clock Crew much anymore.

ChimeClock

I think it's fairly implied that Marlin meant popular animated films :wiebel:

seriously, this shit is gettin' old guys

TheCheshireClock

How come people always say that remakes are "ruining it"?

It's not like because they made a new version you HAVE to watch it, and that no one can ever watch the original ever again.

TequilaClock

The whole deal about "ruining" the movies is such as younger generations will see probably messed up versions of what the originals were amazing of, and they will say OH YEAH THE YELLOW SUBMARINE YEAH THAT DISNEY MOVIE ABOUT SOME BAND I DONT REMEMBER YEAH

WobbuffetClock

My opinion towards this remake and this entire thread can be summarised with this:
:wiebel:
flash rules everything around me, f.r.e.a.m.??? get the fivens, portal portal spam, y\'all

Marlin Clock

When I was a nice boy? When was that?

AmberArachnidClock

Quote from: Marlin Brando;1666115What do you mean? Nobody made an animated Alice in Wonderland before Disney.

Thanks for backing me up Cadillac but that's not exactly what I meant.

Quote from: Satellitethey're ruining all the awesome psychedelic animations, first alice in wonderland now this.
By they I didn't mean Disney, I meant a more general they. In this case I was referring to the Disney remake of Yellow Submarine, and the Tim Burton remake of Alice in Wonderland. I love the Disney version of Alice in Wonderland, who doesn't like caterpillars smoking hookah?

Sorry I got back so late haha

Oh.

Coincidentally, Disney is distributing that Tim Burton movie.

Whoah, that just gave it this whole thing triple meaning.

Odo

seems like tim burton cant help but get his dirty little hands on anything that has potential to be even slightly macabre

I don't care about Yellow Submarine so much, but I sure do hate that Disney, so this is my kind of thread.

NintendrCkolc

I have the original on VHS... I really need to convert that shit to DVD.

Also, I'm not sure what to think about this... If its like beatles rockband and they use all the original voice work... I guess it wouldnt be that bad..

I've met some young'uns who have only seen the new Star Wars movies and think they're great.  Young folks nowadays don't know good films if they came and bit them on the head and they certainly don't know about no Star Wars films like I did back in my day when I had to walk fifteen miles through the snow to get to school.

I agree with Cheshire, though, I don't think the original is being ruined at all. This movie might be for some fans of the original, but one of its biggest target audiences is going to be people or kids that have never seen the original and probably never would (or if they did, would dismiss it for looking or sounding dated). Because there are a lot of those people. The original has sort of a cult or niche following, and it's not exactly known for being a masterpiece.

I think it could go either way. I have always kind of been put off by the fact that the original didn't feature the actual Beatles voices anyway, so I can see them maaaaaaybe improving on it. They should give it to Pixar, though. That would just be magical.
