Lol fuck yes, I saw these on sale at giant tiger a while back. I tried a pair, it turns out they're a load of bullshit. As I guessed.

Also I'm holding out until I can project energy shields with my eyes.

I wonder why human beings have specifically 20/20, evolutionarily speaking, as opposed to some creatures (like birds of prey).

We just didn't need visual sharpness. Hawks are solely predatory, so they rely on their sight to locate prey, but we're omnivores. That does also give us our noteworthy ability, full color vision.

What I was told was that, as leaf eaters, early primates got more nutrition from young red leaves than older green, so those that developed red vision, on top of the green and blue vision most other mammals have, could find more nutritious leaves.

I'm a bit better than 20/15, but I'm told that it'll degrade with age. An experiment I like is swapping out the lens of the eye with something that isn't opaque to infrared, supposedly the rods are sensitive to a longer wavelengths than can actually make it into the eye. Switching the material around should improve low light vision and possibly grant heat vision.
