Mahmoud Awad: The Time Traveling Legend

Simple · December 27, 2009, 05:34:54 AM

Most of this was copied text from his last.fm page:

This artist is from the future. There are no current records of his life, where he lives, or anything about him. This music must be treated with great respect, because it is the first that has been sent back in time to us.

Perhaps we will someday find out how this artist was able to send his album back in time.

He has "sent back" 2 albums so far, Sheikh to the Future and Too Fast for Time.

Here's his (in my opinion) best song of of Sheikh:

Part of me says this is pretentious horseshit and the other part says I like.
Fuck it, I like.

DiscoBallClock · December 29, 2009, 12:24:13 PM

Dumb gimmick, but cool music.

ChimeClock · December 30, 2009, 08:10:43 PM

People have speculated 2040, but I think it's a bit farther.

Flounderpa · January 01, 2010, 05:01:11 AM

SpongeClock SquarePants · January 01, 2010, 11:53:03 AM

Also, these being from the future, there are no rights holders, so there are many copies of both albums just floating out there.

Silly Putty Clock · January 01, 2010, 01:14:15 PM

This is fantastic.

Loki Clock · January 01, 2010, 05:32:17 PM

I am falling more in love with it. There is a lot of sameness between some tracks, though, which is unfortunate.

SilverCherryClock · January 01, 2010, 05:36:43 PM

lmao this owns

ChimeClock · January 01, 2010, 08:23:24 PM

mauserclock · January 01, 2010, 10:02:52 PM

Explain why we shouldn't like it.

well it's just some Arabic pop distorted with some auto-tune and other sound effects added in

also something about it just smells "4chan meme" to me.
