it'd be nice to know which parts contain Event sounds. I'll start looking.

Here is the .swf for my part with the sound set to stream:

And here is the .fla, in Flash 8, with all the sound set to stream, so that if you have to export it again for some reason you don't have to go through and fix the sound yourself:

edit: nvm, I also put this in a movie clip, so it's useless too :(

clockradioclock

http://clocktopia.net/hollywood/ptf-fix/

fixed every part with Event sound clips and even edited a few that I think may have caused issues of their own. If I've missed anything, just let me know.

Okay, I think my part is completely fixed now. I moved the whole movie on to the main timeline, I changed all the events to streams, and I even fixed the alignment issue.

Quote from: clammo;1829036let me try to explain this one final time before i literally explode.

i need to be able to COMPLETELY STOP each individual part so that they DONT PLAY OVER TOP OF EACH OTHER. I can't do that if they're nested inside a movieclip. Especially if they dont even have an INSTANCE NAME.

Just... the movie on the main timeline.... stream all sounds.... so i can stop them from playing................

calm down you cow im editing a dozen movies for you.

clockradioclock

also, i didn't put anybody's part in a movie clip. they were all in movie clips, all i did was remove the AS and swap Event to Stream.

Quote from: clammo;1829040well the version i had of screw's swf didnt have it nested in an mc sooooo
yeah because, if you had read the last 30 pages, ZL spent a night or two recompiling every part so that it existed outside its original mc. The files found in clocktopia.net/ptf/ are the sat files, therefore they are all in MCs because that's how the OP suggested they be. soooo you know
[SIGPIC]dance with me[/SIGPIC]

clockradioclock

Yeah, I'm doing that right now. It shouldn't take longer than 30 mins.

clockradioclock

Nice : )

So you know, every file in ptf-fix works now, except evilbean's. His part is huge, so it's taking me some time. In the meantime, you can transfer all those other files.

clockradioclock

would you mind making a list of the movies that do that? I think it has to do with the authors leaving their streamed audio on open-ended layers. The audio stops when it should, but it's set to Repeat x1, which allows for some kind of fuck up. It's late now, and evilbean's part is a goddamn mess. I'll finish tomorrow if slurpee isn't up for it.

Evilbean, evilbeanclock, if ever you decide to look your name up to see what you've been missing: fuck you and stream your audio, you asshole ugh

Quote from: clammo;1829133do you think you could convert everything to CS4 and upload the flas? id be able to debug and export faster.

yeah, I'll export everything to cs4.
[SIGPIC]dance with me[/SIGPIC]

clockradioclock

clammo, saved everything to cs4 and updated http://clocktopia.net/ptf/

sorry it took so long. shitty up-speed, etc.

To be noted though: I couldn't install the font "jurassic park regular" from munglai's part, so I replaced it with "Africa." You'll probably get some sort of prompt telling you that you're missing the font, so download and install "Jurassic Park" from the PTF folder and replace it in his part (though i doubt you'll need to edit it, since his is the last one).

LotusClock

Quote from: clammo;1829046lotus yoyo english patriot all have problems with sound playing when the clip is stopped

theres more than just those ones too

I was just informed of that sound problem. I tend to set my minor sound effects on "Event" so I can put them inside a one-frame Movie Clip, which I can then insert into the movie without having to worry about it getting interrupted. Here's a new version of my .fla with every instance of a sound set to "Stream". Works just as fine, but some of the sound effects get cut short.

Do we have this compiled yet?

MentosClock

We should give up on trying to submit this as one file. Lets have Pass the Flash 1a end with Ribs's part, and submit the rest as Pass The Flash 1b. With this set-up, part 1b will contain 19 parts. Clockradioclock had no trouble compiling PTF2 with 17 parts, so I think this is feasible.

I think it would be cool to have this and Pass the Flash 2 both submitted on Clock Day. These are both great collabs, so it would be an amazing way to celebrate our 10th anniversary.

How would we submit 3 movies in one day?

We'd need to be co-authored.
