Quote from: Ankh;1754962So it's Kingdra but not as cool because it looks like Wailord
You kidding me? Sperm whales are way more awesome than the baleen whales that Wailord is obviously inspired from.

QuoteTwo water type legendaries in one game? Seems kinda boring to me
Every one of the main ledgendaries in Gen1/2 was flying. How boring.
QuoteThat is way too nerdy
I know.

Kombucha

A giant squid legendary actually sounds pretty cool.

I'm pretty sure they're gonna be introducing a new type: light.
I mean, they've already ruined  the game by making digimon, why not take a chance?
Quote from: PezDispenserclock;1948598Abba, I might not smoke weed, but I experiancing it being hit with a crowbar on a modded TTT server. Flashing colours, screen flipped, screen flying. Yup, I know how it\'s like.

Quote from: Tony Esposito;1754956Carrioptera-Flying(there's really no reason for there not to be a pure flying type): Vulture pokemon(name is a pun on carrion and the suffix optera, which means wing) Black with a pink head, basically like a stereotypical vulture. It can learn the moves Bite, Chatter and Air Slash before evolving
Problem with a pure flying type is all in the move Roost. The move works to heal you for half your hp, but for a turn you lose the flying type, seeing as the pokemon is "not flying". Without any type the game resorts to the ??? type which in a battle doesn't really work out too well (if i recall it either: crashes the game, no damage multipliers or weak against everything).

Quote from: Ankh;1754962No fuck events. Also you start out as a ten-year-old, that's almost less than an "average joe."
These days most events are over the Nintendo Wifi Connection shit, so I don't see why not, it'd keep legendaries out of the game for a little longer. I know I hate having scrubs "pwn" me because they have a team of 6 shiny lvl 100 mewtwos. Also yeah I'd like a little customization of your character at the start of the game, even maybe a person old enough to drive a car thrown in there :O

It doesn't learn roost I guess?

I could also make it immediately a Flying/Dark type at evo 2.

If they have that kind of shit, odds are they hacked it. If that's the case, only releasing legendaries through Wi-Fi won't stop them.

 I just know it
 its always dragons
Quote from: BulbanewsUpdate : Pokémon Daisuki Club revealed Reshiram and Zekrom's type to be Dragon-type.
Well I am just fucking shocked.

KeyClock

The new legendaries are really cool, totally buying white first because Zekrom is a bamf

Also they're officially up to 500 Pokemon D:

Marlin Clock

Sperm Whale/Giant Squid legendaries don't sound too bad now do they.

I never noticed how obviously Sinnoh looked like Hokkaido.

Anyone have a Bagon or a Gible (or any of their evolutions) from D/P they'd be willing to trade? I'm trying to find a nice dragon pokemon to round out my set, but having heart gold pretty much puts me in a situation where I need to use the safari zone for 100+ days to catch one.

Did you already get the Dratini with Extremespeed from the Dragon's Den?

Yeah, but I don't want a dragonite. My rival I fight every now and then uses two of them, and Dragonite's a pretty bulky guy, lacking a bit in attack power and being slow, but having a nice healthpool. I'm looking to get something a bit faster for my purposes.

If it has Extremespeed than speed won't be as much of an issue, and attack is by far its highest stat.

Is Kindra going to be in with your Dragon-types? Because if not you're going to get battered by Ice-type Pokemon.

I might be able to get you a Gible if you really want one, but you would have to wait until at least next week. Garchomp is supposed to be the best non-legendary Pokemon gameplay-wise besides Wynaut and Wobbuffet, so it would be a good addition to your team. Garchomp looks kind of funky though. I suppose it's not ugly but I don't really like it.

Yeah, I'm going to eventually give up Kingdra thought. I think my final pokemon team isn't going to have a rainy day move, so swift swim's going to be useless, and Kingdra's stats's aren't really that great to begin with. Next week's fine for me, I'm still grinding my way up anyways, just let me know what time will work for you.

Kombucha

Kingdra's a great Pokemon. High, well rounded stats and only one weakness. Teach it Rain Dance if it has Swift Swim. It'll be worth it, not just for the Speed increase but for the boost of Water-type moves. It wouldn't be a bad idea even if it didn't have Swift Swim. You can get one with Sniper if you want, that's a decent ability. Teach it Surf and Dragon Pulse if its Special Attack is higher than its Attack (the base stats are the same) or Waterfall or Dive and Outrage if its Attack is higher than its Special Attack, and you'll have a pretty fucking good Pokemon.

I don't see why you say that its stats suck, or why Dragonite's attack power is lacking. If I had to take a wild guess I'd say that you're holding them to the standard of a Pokemon with a very high Base-stat total and especially high Attack and/or Special Attack, e.g. almost every single legendary with a base stat total of 670 or more, but that would be ridiculous.

Anyway, yes, I'll try to get you that Gible, if someone else doesn't first.

KeyClock
