If he hadn't done it Uruguay would not have been in the half finals. So yeah, he did what he was supposed to, and it's not like he didn't get punished for it.

He took one for the team.

After the quarter finals all yellow cards are cleared right, so none of our lil fellas will have to worry about missing the finals.

Actually when I saw the game it said that there were certain players out for the half-finals. Commentator said that they were getting cleared out, so yeah I dunno.

QuoteFIFA have announced that single yellow cards received at this year's World Cup will only be cleared after the quarter-final stage of the competition.

QuoteWorld Cup 2010: Fifa changes rules to prevent World Cup final bans• Existing yellow cards wiped out after quarter-finals
• Move comes after Michael Ballack missed 2002 final

Players who receive two yellow cards in different matches will no longer be at risk of missing the World Cup final after Fifa announced it has changed its rules on player suspensions.

Paul Gascoigne famously cried after he was given a yellow card in the semi-final against Germany at Italia 90, a caution which meant he would have been banned from the final had England reached that stage.

Germany's Michael Ballack was forced to watch from the stands in 2002 after two yellow cards ensured he could take no part in his country's game against Brazil.

It was Ballack's exclusion from that match which prompted Fifa's rethink. Now players involved in the semi-finals will be at risk of suspension from the final only if they are sent off

"Fifa simply said we want to give the best players a chance to play in the final," said Marius Schneider, a Fifa spokesman. "The discussion first came up when Ballack was ruled out [of the 2002 final]."

Suarez also only got suspended for one match. So atleast he can play for third place against Spain or Germany :)

Lodeiro won't be playing though, he broke his foot. Which is good news for us i suppose, but losing an Ajacied is always a sad day.

We are missing De Jong and Van der Wiel but we have De Zeeuw and Boulah..i still give Cristiano Ronaldo nightmares..rouz  to replace them.

You know its a bad sport when its fans support a player outright cheating just to win. In america we call goaltending on bullshit like that.
Quote"To think that Suarez, when he committed the handball, knew what was going to happen afterward would be something superhuman," the coach said. "The hand of Suarez is the hand of God and the Virgin Mary -- that's how Uruguayans see it."

Apparently Jesus loves his cheating.
