Gir I love ya but you're being melodramatic. The "internet cult clique" was created by Leek when he tried to take over IRC. We (the IRC regulars) made Internet Cult because we wanted to get something done and Leek was basically enforcing stagnation by blocking attempts to get a useful admin made. After years of being marginalized  a big chunk of that group has gotten more access (the later bits, in my opinion, largely due to the blast chat). As a result staff meetings and site and activity planning have finally resumed.

Yes, some of us (yourself included) wanted Leek deadmined because he hasn't been visible or active in quite a while and he's a bit out of touch. Yes, Roman was kicked out of the grid, because he is out of touch. Yes, people become more serious when you put them on the site staff, because they've got work to do.

So yeah, there are changes. Namely, the ball is finally staring to roll again.

As far as mod sass bans go, I don't know where you've been but they've been happening since at least 2005 and I believe prior to that. In fact, most bans on this site have probably been a product of personal opinion. During the Clockification era we were banning people left and right , things are a lot less harsh today.

On the subject of losing our creativity, the Pass the Flash project is probably the most creative form of collaboration I've seen to date.  When's the last time we had a flash contest? When's the last time you saw Tiem? These things and more are in the future that you try to present as so ominous.

I know you're irritated and feel excluded. I know what that's like. You wanted me to be admin, so trust my judgement. Things are changing for the better.

As far as people wanting to be more involved in what is happening on the site, they should come to blast. Chat is how a lot of us got on the staff in the first place.

I agree completely and I know the source of the problems, which is that the site has stopped going down every six to twelve months. Whenever the site went down a bunch of people made movies instead of just hanging out on the BBS. I haven't seen a decent clock movie since clockday.
