Haha, poor Yoyo.

It seems source games have been going a bit crazy fro me lately, too. I'm getting weird spikes and pings I never used to get, and Sourcemod radio doesn't work for me anymore. It will load the page and everything, but when I select a genre to play, the little media player thing in the browser that pops up just isn't there. Jukebox also does not work, it does everything except actually play the songs.

I have tried everything I can think of to remedy these things, but nothing works. I believe it all started after the Engie update.

TelephoneClock

whenever I click the play now button it says it has encountered an error

=(

Quote from: SoBe Clock;1770276I wish there was more than one campaign.

Although, to its credit, the one campaign is much longer than one Left 4 Dead campaign.
I'm actually gonna have to disagree there.  It usually takes about 30 minutes to beat a map in Left 4 Dead, assuming everything goes right, and there are five maps in a campaign.  Generally a Left 4 Dead campaign takes around 2 to 2 and a half hours to complete.

Meanwhile, Alien Swarm has 7 maps on it, but one can beat the maps in around 5-10 minutes, with barely any match going on longer than then.  Assuming all goes well, like we're assuming with the Left 4 Dead campaign, and assuming every map takes 10 minutes to beat, that's only an hour and 10 minutes to finish the campaign.  That's a lot shorter than Left 4 Dead, even if we added another 10 minutes to compensate for choosing weapons in the loadout screen.

Game's still fun as hell, though.

GearBoxClock

I like it but the game quits midmatch for no reason :(

Marlin Clock

So who wants to plan for a session tonight?

Quote from: PezDispenserclock;1948598Abba, I might not smoke weed, but I experiancing it being hit with a crowbar on a modded TTT server. Flashing colours, screen flipped, screen flying. Yup, I know how it\'s like.

AmberArachnidClock

Well I realized I'm too busy to make a flash movie about the slurpee poem so I'll post the song I made out of it that I was going to use for the animation.
check it out

AC Slater

I have figured out how to make maps for the game so I'm going to be doing that for the next couple of hours. However, I don't know how I'll be able to play them with you guys. I'll post what I make up here for you all to see!

GearBoxClock

How does the map making work?
Does it have an editor?
Do I need to use a SDK?

RobClock

I'd love to see a pac-man maze map for this game. Just swap ghosts for aliens and you're golden!

Weird, the missions seem longer than 10 minutes to me.

GearBoxClock

I really like the custom soundtracks, as I have a bunch of songs that aren't right for action scenes

There's an SDK for it under the tools tab in steam and there's a basic map editor in game. I'm using that first, then exporting the VMF file and editing it in Hammer.

GearBoxClock

Huh. Well, I'm probably never going to make a map

AmberArachnidClock

I tried mapmaking but I couldn't get it to work right

What issues were you having? I'm only having issues when I load it into Hammer and that's most likely because I don't know what I'm doing in there. I'll learn eventually though.

Everything was magenta and white

Nah, they're pretty short.  The speed run achievements for the game are all less than 3 minutes for each level, too.
