The only way hope for Rare could be revived for me is if some of the original developers formed a new company that does more than one console or if Rare itself became multi-platform. Neither seem likely

Banjo Kazooie was cool but it felt like SM64.

That's because it was made with the Super Mario 64 engine. And I don't think it's honorable at all to say they feel like the same game, past the basic controls that that imbues. One's levels are task-oriented and parkour, one's treasure hunting and exploration. And still that's only considering mechanics and architecture.
