He talks about how game publishers are now scrambling to leech money out of used video game sales. At the end he also talks about the ways they are trying to control the distribution of their games with EULAs and distribution methods. He reveals how these companies have dug their own graves, and how they want money they don't deserve.

Very interesting and funny as well. Also quite long. But it's informative and he quotes and references many sources.

I'd also like to say how disappointed I am in Blizzard, or at least what is left of it. I seriously only have faith left in Valve.

Eh, it wasn't that long.

The gamestop ad was the funniest. It's completely true, every time gamestop offers up some sort of pre order bonus it's usually just some stupid weapon or map that shouldve been included in the original game in the first place. Their commercials are usually all annoying as shit but so long as the rabid fanboy 13-16 year olds keep pre-ordering and getting excited over useless shit it'll keep happening.

This is why I buy my games at Best Buy or Meijer almost 99.9% of the time.

I agree, it's the same kind of bullshit they pull with DLC.

They will release DLC a few weeks after a gamed come out that should have been in the game in the first place. It doesn't really affect me, since I play exclusively on the PC now, but it's fucking scummy.

I never buy games without first trying them. A few months ago I tried Assasin's Creed 2 for free, and decided I liked it so much I bought it (on steam). Just this week I tried Civilization V and liked it so much I am going to buy it (on steam).

I don't know how these corporate suits think they can just keep abusing their consumers like this. It will all come to a head at some point. People like Bobby Boy Kotick should not be working in an industry like this. He will explicitly tell the press that he plans to suck every dollar he can from a franchise.

It's fucking sad.
