Deus Ex: Human Revolution

This is looking to be a very good game; possibly even GOTY material. It's a game that's trying hard to recapture what made Deus Ex great (and succeeding, according to many accounts I've read) while adding new features and improvements. If you've never played Deus Ex I suggest you give it a try, it's an amazing timeless action RPG game. DE:HR is apparently focusing on allowing many diverse ways to complete objectives (like in DE), making stealth, aggression, persuasion, and being a massive asshole all viable. I for one am a big fan of action RPGs that learn more towards the RPG side and this ones seems to be positively dripping with story and character development choices. The setting is also pretty sweet two. The only downside of this game seems to be that everything in the future is yellow and green for some reason.

If you have reservations, there's currently a leaked build of the game floating around the interbutt, but I've decided to throw caution to the wind and preorder it based only on the plethora of positive reviews and gameplay videos.

Maybe it's just because I've been playing a lot of old games lately but the graphics seem fine to me. They obviously skimped on them so they had more budget for other stuff but personally I wish more companies would pull back on graphics and work more on good gameplay and better writers (I'm looking at you Crysis, you piece of shit)

I found out recently this game doesn't have melee weapons, only hand-to-hand combat with arm blades. Kind of disappointing. <- had to put something negative about the game so I don't look like a rabid fanboy

I like the fact that it switches to third person when you're doing something that requires more than your eyes and one hand. That's a format I really think should be taken up by all first person games.

Yep this looks really good, also not a big fan of the green yellow filter they slapped on but what are you gonna do. At least it's not brown.

I haven't really followed this game but I've intended to give it a shot. From what I've seen it looks awesome.

Weird, I could've sworn the screenshots I saw in the magazines were better, but then again I don't remember how soon after the game's announcement, so...

Also I couldn't tell from the clip because he was doing his minute of chest pumps, but I hope he actually follows proper procedure because I'll notice and it'll take me out of the game.

Then again procedure changes so much every year CPR could be totally different in the year 2089957825u51

The only game for xbox or ps3 that came on a disk in the past couple years that actually had color in it was Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. I miss color.
