theres very little that bb10 did to convince me otherwise. it certainly didnt help that i'd get completely random pm's on newgrounds from accounts with literally nothing on them asking me to unban bb10.

All of this information does sound pretty fishy, but other than the fact that a lot of people dislike splatter- for reasons I have forgotten or are unknown to me- BB10 hasn't really done anything to upset any kind of balance or rouse any kind of trouble, at least in my opinion. The BB10 we know may be an alt, but at least it's a fresh start for someone if we can honestly assume it's an alt.

Here's my guess: Unless we can get hard evidence that BB10 is a Splatter alt, we can't really ban him because if he isn't an alt, that's pretty unfair.

well i vividly remember posting the exact IPs where splatter and bb10 are the only registered users on the entire forum to use the otenet.gr host name. the post is mysteriously missing but i think slurpee can back me up, since he remembers everything that happens on this forum and he replied to the post.

i realize that a lot of the evidence is based entirely on my own subjective reasoning and is circumstantial at best, but i felt that there was a sufficient evidence that something fishy was going on. i didnt take the decision to ban him lightly, but the supporting evidence far outweighed the idea of a series of coincidences in my own mind.

id just like to say that if it turns out that i was wrong all along, and that bb10 isnt an alt of splatter or anybody else, then i would have to apologize for my actions.

If it means anything I would like to say your cautiousness isn't ignored.

I took BB10's and splatters IP's and ran them through the geoIP database, with gave me the following info:

those 8 IPs are within the same allocation block (http://www.nirsoft.net/countryip/gr.html)
assigned to OTEnet S.A. which spans 79.128.0.0 - 79.131.255.255,
rDNS on athedsl-4392314.home.otenet.gr shows an IP of "79.130.117.106" which is in neither IP set.

Ether I am missing data or that particular ISP allocates their host names to different IPs in their allocation pool, and this looks like the case from a port scan of that particular block of IPs

So TL;DR: It's true that BB10 and splatter have both posted from the same "pool", or grouping of 262,144 addresses assigned to a ISP in greece, and that these two members are the only ones on the forums that have posted from that ISP pool. So the only conclusion I can draw is that splatter had a greek proxy, I can't make the leap that two people coming from the same ISP are the same person
