Just depends on how good they are. I like a lot of Toppy's flashes because of their voice acting like this one, but its mostly because I think toppy does good voice acting.

RenegadeClock

If you've got the talent for voice acting and the equipment to pull it off well then yeah, go for it. But like was said before, it all depends on the tone of the movie.

Slurpee

You can do anything you want. You just have to be good enough to execute it.

(I speak in generality, of course)

TTS is an easier sell because you're generally always going to get the same readings, which you can bend to your intent without hassle, as opposed to working with an actor, who can, intentionally or not, convey a myriad of subtle emotional shifts, which might not be in line with your intent... or which you might merely be too nice to say you can't make use of. (A habit which, while polite, I would like to take this opportunity to gently discourage.)

With TTS, you get an instinctual feeling for a competent way to play it, especially since it's fairly well plonked into the overall perception of clock flashes. You've probably seen a lot of clock movies, and you probably have a general idea, conscious or not, of how they deal with TTS communication. Thus you'll have, theoretically, a natural sense of tone and timing with TTS when you make your own flash. Voice acting doesn't have that luxury. You have to play it carefully.

But, as I said, you can do anything you want, you just have to be good enough to execute it.
We are a small and eccentric herd. What is different must also impress.

SpongeClock SquarePants

difficult, but depends on the movie i guess.
When TTS is used sometimes i dont hear half the stuff that is said, subtitles would be handy.

EDIT : Most of you have these gay teen voices so i would stick with TSS because that shit is way easier on my ears.

It's only good if BB10 does it for you.

But, actually, FU Clock Goes Hunting actually fitted great with voices, it just depends on what circumstance you use them in.
Quote from: PezDispenserclock;1948598Abba, I might not smoke weed, but I experiancing it being hit with a crowbar on a modded TTT server. Flashing colours, screen flipped, screen flying. Yup, I know how it\'s like.

AstronautClock

I tweak my TTS voices so they come across a bit more realistic. I dont really have any real experience with voice actors and it would be a pain to get the right one

AbsintheClock

Honestly, I almost never use the speakonia voices. It's really just a matter of "do what you like."

BoltClock

Somebody needs to feed F U's secret curiosity as to what his Clock Day song would sound like in TTS.

RIP old siggy

StrangeClock

In an ideal world, all Clock movies would be voiced by Krak.

pm BB10 for all your voice acting needs

patriotclock

Real voices are fine. I personally prefer computer voices though

ActionClock

I like voice acting, but hey, either can be good

buttplug

I always liked when people mixed them together in the same movie.

miracle fruit

if u dont use speakonia ur straght up ghey no way around it

miracle fruit

first of all to use speaknia u need to be straight so theres that....................................................

Sinister Clock

It's definitely a stylistic choice. Usually in my high effort movies I'll try to manually alter speakonia voices to get more depth and emotion out of them. If I have non clock characters, I tend to use voice acting to separate them from clocks, making clocks seem like a completely different being. What I want to start using now is vocaloid, now that I've got a pirate copy. It's a bit iffy though.

Thor

Real voice actors just don't seem as "clocky" to me. Like, along with the objects with clocks on them robot voices are one of the few things that define clock movies as a genre. I would probably be more receptive if I heard a movie with good voice action in it, which I have yet to see (with the exception of intentionally over the top stuff like Lot of Fries). It's very difficult to do a natural reading of a script, and I fear it's a skill nobody in the clock crew possesses.
Quote from: MafiaMettaurWhat the hell is with that shit you posted? You know what, I'm joining the Locks, just to stop stuff like you!
Quote from: polyhedronclockYou're a fucking clock, what else do you have?
To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

Topcatyo

It all depends. I've been using real voice acting a lot more lately because I've had some troubles with getting Speakonia to work.  With my Pass The Flash 2 part I tried to have real voice acting but I hated it so I ended up using outtakes from Zen Micro and doing a goofy voice for the rest of the characters, so yeah.

It depends on how well you pull what off

I liked the non-goofy voices more :(

OvenmittClock

Man... I just received my new microphone which i ordered from china. The quality is great, so I can prolly do some shitty ass voice acting too.
