so ive got this nice flash that i want to loop. its a song so i want this loop so smooth smoother than a babies ass real fuckin smooth am i getting through to you how smooth i want this

ive tried this in the past with gotoAndPlay(); and it left this really jarring gap in the animation and sound which isnt a very smooth effect. any advice?

SpongeClock SquarePants

put all of it in a single movieclip? i dunno

clockradioclock

does the song loop flawlessly on its own?

Quote from: clammo;1871810you CANT loop perfectly with gotoAndPlay(), even if the sound is on stream and you know the exact spot to loop at.

you cant loop mp3s smoothly at all. you'll have to use a wav file or another audio format

the files are already .wav

what do i do instead of gotoAndPlay(); then

try putting the entire movie into a movieclip. Put the movie clip onto a single frame and set the frame's actionscript to stop();

Your completed fla should have but two frames, one for the loader/play button (if you have one) and one for the movie-in-a-movie-clip. Hope this helps.

but what if i dont want it to loop at the beginning? this is the flash im trying to loop and it has a little intro before the song comes on

Huh, I didn't know this. Do .wav work the best, of not is there one that is the best at looping?

then create a movie clip with the part you want to loop and put that on a frame with stop(); and let the beginning of the movie lead up to it. Set your audio to loop (assuming you want to loop the entire song) and you're all set.

ugh this is such a pain. the song i want to loop is actually 2 .wav files. the first song file has the lil intro and then it does the "colors" hook. the second .wav file just has the hook. i did this because in the real song the hook isnt that long so i used audacity to cut the hook out and put it in a second file to play immediately after the first one is done.

ughhhhhhhhhhhhh
